Houston Home Appliance Repair

I hired Fernando with Houston Appliance Repair in January 2013 to replace a door latch on my oven door. He told me that he had to order the part, and that I had to put down 1/2 the cost of the repair. I paid him $135 and was given an appointment for the following week for him to come out and replace the part. Two weeks passed and no word from the company. I called to follow up and was told by Fernando that he thought they ordered the part, but they didn't. He said it would take another 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks passed, and again, no word. I called again after the 2 weeks had passed and requested a refund. Fernando agreed to the refund and said that they would send the refund the next day. Here we are 3 weeks later, and again, no word from Fernando. I didn't get the service nor the part that I paid for and am getting no response from Fernando now. I guess I'll never see my money, but everywhere that Fernando or Houston Appliance Repair look online, they'll see a warning to all potential customers telling them to RUN... don't walk when they here the name Houston Appliance Repair! Save your money and give it to someone who will actually work for it.

I hired Fernando to replace the heater element on my dryer the last week of February 2012. After completion he stated his work and parts were guaranteed for 60 days and if I had any problems to just call him. On April 1st the heater element went out again. According to the calender the work should still be under warranty. I started to call the company, they answered but only made excuse after excuse for not coming. (broke down truck, cable man coming, always on the wrong side of town...etc). Finally, after about the 5th request for a repair I just sent him a text asking if he ever planned to look at the dryer, NO REPLY!!!...Warning only use this company if you want to waste your money on shoddy work and receive poor customer service.
