Oral Cancer Screening

Fillings
Tooth bonding is a very inexpensive cosmetic dental service that can fix a fractured, chipped, odd shaped or discolored tooth and improves your smile. Sometimes the bonding material can even be used as a more attractive alternative to amalgam fillings. At Hopewell Dental Care, we have used tooth bonding to fill in a gap that is too large between two teeth and make teeth look longer.
Resin Composite
An inlay is a pre-molded filling that goes inside the tooth, much like a traditional filling. The difference is that the dentist takes an impression of your damaged tooth and sends it out to a lab where the inlay is made. The inlay is made from either porcelain or composite resin that’s selected to match the color or your tooth.

There are numerous reasons dentists from Hopewell Dental Care would recommend porcelain veneers to improve the look of your teeth.
Crowns
Once cleaned and shaped, the tooth canal is filled with a filling material (either temporary or permanent) to seal the tooth and keep bacteria from re-entering. Your dentist may use a permanent filling or a crown to restore your tooth. The choice of restoration will depend on the strength of the part of the tooth that is left. A back tooth will likely need a crown because chewing puts a great deal of force on back teeth. If there is not enough of the tooth left, posts may be used to help support the crown.
Bridges
Crowns and Bridges are considered the most common and highly effective solutions for improving imperfections such as a damaged or a missing tooth. The results allow you to chew food easier and help balance your bite while reducing the ability of your existing teeth to shift and catch food in between them.
Dental Bonding
Tooth bonding is usually recommended for small cosmetic modifications and is often used to fix problems on the front teeth. To learn if tooth bonding is the right approach to fix your dental problem, a dentist will be happy to meet with you to discuss this procedure.
Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment

Root canals are a common alternative to treating a damaged or diseased tooth. The treatment relieves dental pain and alleviates inflammation and infection at the root of your tooth.

Deep Cleaning
No. This is a deep cleaning that involves two different techniques. First is scaling, which removes all the plaque and tar above and below the gum line. After that, root planning is done, which smooths out your teeth roots. This helps the gums reattach to the teeth. Sometimes patients need more than one visit for their periodontal disease treatment.

Tooth Extractions
The dentist will need to know about a wide range of conditions — hypertension, adrenal disease, damaged heart valves, diabetes, etc.—because many types of health conditions need to be stable before you have a tooth extracted. Depending on your medical condition, your primary care physician or specialist might need to give you clearance for the tooth extraction. Sometimes, antibiotics are prescribed to prevent complications. Remember to bring a list of your prescribed medications, plus over-the-counter drugs, vitamins and supplements to your appointment.

Braces
The dentist will explain your specific reason, but often a tooth will need to be extracted if a wisdom tooth is impacted, a tooth has too much decay to be repaired, you’re experiencing pain in your jaw or perhaps the tooth must be removed because you’re getting braces.
