Favorite Indian Restaurant
24052 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544
Favorite Indian Restaurant is all around great indian restaurant. The samosas and vegetable pakora are delicious Indian Food Appetizers were great. After 5+ visits, I can't say I've come across a dish I wouldn't recommend - that includes both the meat and the veggie - especially when eaten with the garlic nan. Add in the friendly service and reasonable beverages mango lassi, and butter chicken is worthy of visiting any night of the week. Please Make sure to get an order or two of Gulab Jamun to-go if you're too full for dessert. You won't be disappointed. The servers was very friendly they served us with the best service.
I ordered the Indian Cottage Cheese and it was terribly hard and tasteless. When I asked the hostess to let the chef know, she came out and said that he cannot help it if the raw product is bad. I told her then he should have told you that before we ordered the item. She said the manager said others were enjoying it and therefore I should enjoy as well. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. God help you if you get a bad tasting dish. Either you eat it or donate the money for ordering a tasteless dish.....I was a regular there but since that day I have stopped going their. They have another one opening in San Ramon and I am very sure this attitude will be carried forward.

This a hole in the wall Indian restaurant where flavor beats decor. This place isn't fancy, nor is it well-suited for a large gathering. It's a take-out joint with a few tables added for those who prefer to drop rice on someone else's floor. (a not-so-subtle hint that this place works well for people with kids). You won't break your wallet, portions are generous, and best of all you can order online. (Coolorder charges a small fee but it's worth it)

I used to love this place as a takeout choice. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed, but I recently put in an order (my usual). I was informed that we would have to place an order of $30 or more. (The tab came to $22). After asking to speak to a manager, I was informed that this was the ""owner's wife, actually"" and did I want to pay a $5.00 devlivery fee or not for my area. Nevermind that we have placed at least 20 orders of exactly the same amout of food prior to this, the restaurant is less than three miles away. So, we were desperately hungry. We grudgingly pay the $5.00 (not to mention a nice tip for the delivery driver). We eat the food...and the WHOLE FAMILY gets sick! We had our usual oatmeal for breakfast and sandwiches with fresh sealed lunchmeat that, so we KNOW that we were sick by this establishment. What's sad is that I don't think I'll ever be able to eat my favorite chicken tiki masala again after that experience no matter how reputable the restaurant. Too sad.

Whenever i come home from school, me and my friends in the area always make a point to go to favorites at least once or twice to catch up. We love the food, and i am always stuffed so full when i leave for like 7 dollars. we got to go before and it was very delicious. We eat a lot of the vegetarian dishes as well as the meaty ones and all are superb. You should pick yourself up and go for dinner or lunch right this instant!

This place was small and crowded for lunch. I honestly like our other place, New Taste of India in the Warm Springs area of Fremont much better. It costs as much here (2 adults, 2 kids) for the lunch buffet as it does for the dinner buffet at New Taste of India. The food here was bland and watery... we'll stick with our place even though we have to drive a ways.

You will really get a lot for your buck! I went to their lunch buffett and I good amount of choice for the price. Their Butter chicken had a lot of bones in them, but it was still very good.
I've been to better indian restaurant buffets (Bombay Garden off Mowry and Indian Palace off Stevenson--both off 880 in Newark) but their price of $10-12 reflects their GIGANTIC and awesome food selection (about 20 different dishes!). I'm not sure why they're not listed here at Citisearch...
Back to Favorite Indian: I was impressed with the price, service and food for their lunch buffett.
