Hanson's Hideaway

I have been vacationing in northern Wisconsin since the 60s, and one of the best things about doing so is that not a lot has changed about the area relative to some things. Hanson's Hideaway is reflective of that if you are looking for an "up north" bar/restaurant.



The Hideaway has a great horseshoe bar that allows you to talk to the friendly locals and visitors to the area. If you are looking for a good Brandy Old-Fashioned Sweet (a Wisconsin favorite), you've come to the right place.



Leave your tie at home--you won't need it. The atmosphere is casual. Hanson's features good food at good prices. Especially delicious is the all-you-can eat shrimp on Thursday evenings and the ribs. I am sure the other offerings are good too, but I have been sticking to what I know. I also know that if you like salad bars, you will find an ample one at the Hideaway.



If you want to experience the "flavor" of the north woods including the food, the people, and the atmosphere, be sure to stop at the Hideaway--I do every time I visit the area.
