Hattiesburg Home Center

Dishonest and incompetent company!! I recently had a home moved by Hattiesburg home center. The dirt work for the pad was not done correctly when home was delivered but the home was set up anyway. I was told twice, once on a conference call with an attorney to go ahead and hook up utilities and move in. They failed two inspections by the fire marshalls office. They did not make corrections that were listed on the Affidavit but still filed for another inspection saying all work had been completed. The management told me and attorney that all work was complete and I could hook up utilities and move in even though the fire Marshall had not passed it. The owner was contacted by my mortgage company to get this resolved and on a conference call with mortgage company and attorney the owner requested that neither me or my attorney contact the fire Marshall because it makes them be strict on them. I guess asking them and following up to make sure they are doing what they were paid to do is not fair. I recently received a notice from the trucking company that supplied the dirt for the pad. It was a notice of a Lien for non payment because the dirt had not been paid for. I and mortgage company and trucking company were told by manager at Hattiesburg home center that he personally mailed the payment. The trucking company allowed a week to get it resolved. I followed up that Thursday and no payment had been received. The manager again assured me he personally mailed the payment. I then asked him to have the owner call me asap and that he had my cell number. The manager immediately drove to Jackson and paid the bill with his personal check. So the manager was going to let possible action be taken towards me for services they were already paid to do. This began in mid June and is still not over. I have been put in a financial bind because of this companies dishonesty and incompetence. I would Highly recommend that people do research before dealing with this company. Its hard to think that a company can be this dishonest and still be allowed to conduct business.
