Dr. Edward R. Cohen Podiatry

I thought I would never be able to bend my ankles or regain mobility after prior surgeries on both ankles until I visited Dr. Cohen. He not only helped me regain motion in both ankles but also removed scar tissue and raised a bone in my foot that had been killing me with pain! Now, I am pain free and moving my ankles in ways I never thought possible again! I was BLESSED to see him and he is truly a Heaven send for this now moving without pain southern girl! Thanks is not enough to express my gratitude to such a fine doctor! I highly recommend Dr. Cohen to everyone I see.

OUCH! He failed to numb my toe all the way before ripping the entire nail off without my permission. I came in for an ingrown toenail removal and he just ripped the whole nail off. I almost jumped out of the chair from the excruciating pain! Will not be going back even if he is the only podiatrist in my area. He has too many patients that he simply can't provide great service to. He was not friendly at all and looked very tired. His staff was very friendly though. One staff member was mildly upset about my situation as well.

I had a bunion removed and did not have any insurance, Dr. Cohen made the arrangements so I could pay and gave me a discounted price. I am very pleased with the results. My sister and I go to Dr. Cohen and are very satisfied. Yes, there is a wait time but you meet many nice people from far and near who makes the time fly by in conversations. The staff is friendly and when you get to know Dr. Cohen you will see that he truly cares about you. Yes, he is very busy because there are a lot of people who have problems with their feet.

As I read the reviews, I was a bit skeptical. However, I proceeded to call to get a bit of info & possibly make appointments for my 2 children. I accidentally called their office in Gulf Port instead of Hattiesburg.... Let me just say, if the visit to Dr Cohen is anything like the service I just received on the phone I will be well pleased!! I was doing my usual rushing to make sure I got in all of my questions because most Dr offices seem to wanna rush you off the phone, but NOT the nice lady who answered my call, Ms. Judy!! Not only did she answer all of my questions thoroughly, but even answered questions I had not thought of!! Including those concerning my insurance, how many visits it would take, cost, recovery time, recovery procedures, medication, & how to care for their ingrown toe nails until their appointments!! I haven't even made it to the office yet and I am impressed!!! I hung up the phone with a smile on my face feeling very confident in my choice to take them to Dr. Cohen!! I don't usually post reveiws, but I was so impressed by that phone call I had to post this one. Kudos Ms. Judy, job well done. That was a perfect example of great customer service!! Something not seen often in our time... In a note to Dr. Cohen, this lady is a valuable asset to your business, I Hope she is well compensated for her work!! Now, due to the fact this post is only due to a phone call and not an actual visit.... I will post concerning the actual visit, even if I find it average.

Dr. Cohen is a very busy, but very caring doctor. I could hardly walk and it was determined that I had a severe infection. The medication that I needed was very expensive and I didn't have any insurance. Dr. Cohen called the manufacturer and explained my situation. I was approved for the antibiotic that was needed without any cost to me. Although it was late in the day, he made arrangements for me to receive the antibiotics and I was able to start taking them that evening. Every day that I didn't see him, he was calling my home twice a day to check on my progress. I have had no other doctor go to such lengths. Yes, his office can be busy. Yes, you may have to wait sometimes, but you can be assured that he and his staff are going to do everything they possibly can to help you with your situation. I won't go to any other foot specialist.

I would have to disagree with remains anonymous. I have had 2 ingrown removals done by Dr. Cohen and I am completely satisfied with the service I received at his clinic. His staff was very nice and friendly. He DOES numb the toe before he removes the ingrown part of the toe AND he even uses a numbing spray while giving injections which makes the pain level stay at a minimum. He does have a wait sometimes but that is because he has so many people that want to see him. If you go to a restaurant that is popular or great will you have a wait? Yes, you will because people tend to swarm businesses that are a class above their competitors. I have been to other podiatrist in the past that wanted me to come in a million times so they could get as much money out of me as possible before dealing with something that could have been corrected the first day I was there. Dr. Cohen has been in business for a very long time and has built up a reputation for being not only a great doctor, but a doctor that will correct problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. I recommend him to everyone and I have even brought my wife and children in to see him when they have had problems. He is great!

I went to Dr Cohen with heel pain and was given a few injections of an all natural herb and had custom inserts made to go inside my shoes. I would not go to any other dr. I have not had to go back since my shoe inserts came in and I LOVE THEM!!! I will not wear any shoes that my inserts wont fit in. I can walk around all day and stand on my feet all deay and they do not hurt at all. Going to see Dr Cohen was the best investment I made for my feet. I was very delighted with the staff in his office and the appearance of the office. Dr Cohen was very helpfull and explained to me what was wrong and his office help was great also. I would HIGHLY reccomend him to any one with any feet problems. I plan to go back in a year to get another pair of inserts.

Dr. Cohen is not only knowledgeable, but he is very concerned about his patients. His consultations will put you at ease; especially the "first-timers" like me. His staff made me laugh, and ultimately he gave my feet a facelift while he rectified my problem. I recommended SIX people to him.

I take my son in to see Dr.Cohen for a red, very painful infected ingrown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Doc was wonderful and explain everything to my son and I . He sprayed the toe with a cold spray and my son said," He hardly felt the shot." He was completely numb when he did the surgery. The staff explain how to take care of it and he had no pain after the sugery. We will be going back to Dr.Cohen if we have anymore foot problem.

I would ABSOLUTELY never go to Dr Cohen again. Please choose anyone but him. Not only is the Hattiesburg location right in the middle of crack alley but his receptionist is RUDE! He doesn't listen to his patient and obviously is running an assembly line for the sole purpose of making money. I waited almost two hours to have an ingrown toenail cut out and wouldn't numb it completely; it was SO painful. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him.
