The wait staff at this restaurant are rude and insulting. When the food at a restaurant is fantastic, I can overlook even the crabbiest of attitudes, but that isn't the case here. The food is acceptable, but their attitude is terrible. I won't go back!
I have read all of the previous reviews and regrettably all of them are negative but absolutely correct! I also have gone to this restaurant for many, many years but will not go back because the food tastes old and greasy, not fresh by the most vivid of imagination, and the restaurant is dirty, unkept and nasty. The food, in addition to being greasy and not fresh was cold. The service is horrible. I gave them several chances going back at least 4 times hoping to see something better. I didn't!I really cannot understand how anyone operating a restaurant like this one is run, expects to be in business much longer. Stay away!
It pains me to give this place a bad review. I have given it my business for twenty years, at least, when it was Peking Garden. I understand it is under new ownership, but many of the same service staff stayed on. I hate this for them.I went in at noon. Prime lunchtime. The place was almost empty. I hate to go to a place and not buy anything, so I did get a to go box, and immediately noticed they're giving out smaller go boxes now. I then had to ASK for a soup cup. They gave me one, but did not give me a bag for noodles. I also had to ask for a sauce cup. These people are stingy and super SUPER cheap. I never had to ask for these things one by one in the past. CHEAP.Everything on the buffet was old. Some bins were scraped clean, others had just kind of congealed. The only fresh items on the buffet appeared to be the sweet and sour chicken, and luckily for me they brought out a pan of moo goo gai pan, though it was mostly a pan of cabbage and had a pathetic amount of chicken in it. I had to pick through it to find pieces of chicken, water chestnuts, and baby corn - I guess they no longer put snow peas in it. CHEAP!!! What used to be a decent sushi bar has become a pitiful excuse. They put small plates out of the absolutely cheapest sushi rolls you can imagine, and there is nobody standing at the bar to make anything new, though ironically the tip jar remains. The contents of all rolls are vegetables, pickles, and imitation crab meat. There is no nigiri. It is cheap, cheap CHEAP, and very little of it. In the past, the sushi bar offered a decent selection of sushi rolls that included tuna rolls, dragon rolls, tiger rolls, salmon rolls, and some salmon and whitefish nigiri, and that is only naming just a few items that you used to be able to select. (Yes, during the lunch hour these things were served.) There was also always somebody there who was happy to make you what you asked for (provided it wasn't too outlandish/pricey). In the past, I could go there and fill up a go box and there still be PLENTY of sushi on the bar. Today? Today I could have filled my box with cheap garbage and would have left behind probably only one roll. It's pathetic. Most of this food I have here in this box I just brought home is inedible. The fried rice has absolutely no pork in it AT ALL, in fact has little more than rice in it, (almost no eggs, peas, carrots, or onions in it) and it has a burned, unpleasant taste. CHEAP!!!! This restaurant has NEVER messed up fried rice. When a CHINESE restaurant cannot make decent fried rice, you KNOW you are in a terrible restaurant. The sweet and sour chicken is all dark meat - This used to use a mix of white and dark. Again, CHEAP!!! The moo goo gai pan has some sort of strange aftertaste, so I stopped eating it. The cream cheese wontons are tough - clearly, they had been sitting under the lights. I don't know why I bothered fishing these greasy lumps of imitation crab meat out of the almost empty pan of seafood casserole - These are inedible. That was all I could fit into this much smaller go box size, and that was with me turning it upside down to use the lid so that I could fit more food in, and with having small portions of each to sample several things, but it's just as well. I don't know if it's just my mind playing tricks on me, but my stomach hurts. If I get sick I am going to be so mad. I am throwing almost a full box of food away because it is inedible and now my stomach hurts. I'm not even going to try the cup of hot and sour soup - Into the trash that goes, too. I cannot under any circumstances recommend this restaurant to anybody, EVER. It is CHEAP and the WORST quality.
Worst Liars ever. I asked did they actually serve bamboo shoots, Baby corn, and waterchestnuts. They assured me they would be added to my order, Not a one but what I did find were the remnants of a roach!!! Enjoy.. Because I never will again. Nasty People The only star rating optional is 1 but there should be a zero.....
It's nasty, service is terrible, food was old and tasted like it's been there all day. I wish the old peaking garden was back
Very disappointed. Food was cold and greasy. Only good thing and hot food was the egg drop soup. Ordered hot tea, tasted like colored water. No tea flavor at all. Won't return there again and don't recommend it.
this buffet is one of the best we have been in, the food is very fresh and is very good the service is fast and the restaurant is real clean.
It's OK: quick service, made fresh, but not a lot of flavor. Heavy on the MSG.
The sushi is awesome but receives three stars for awful and rude service.
