General Info

The Hatfield Township Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintains social law and order. It operates patrol, administration, detective and highway safety units. The department provides copies of police reports, conducts background checks, and issues concealed weapon and alarm system permits. The Hatfield Township Police Department maintains a tactical response team that responds to high-risk incidents, such as barricaded gunman, hostage situations, warrant service, crowd control and dignitary protection. It conducts National Night Out and neighborhood watch programs. The department also supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which focuses on the prevention of illegal usage of drugs, gang activities and violent behavior.
