        An amazing place to order a cake from. The cake they made for me was over the top had my cousins 70's and 80's party guess amazed the cake was the icing most talked about of the night yes I will recommend a lot of people to this place

        I send an order of Italian cookies to Texas because they do not have any good Italian food They are over the moon when this is done - the people I send them too share with their co-workers and they blown away by how good they are!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

        The Modern Pastry or Bakery has been an institution in the Southend of Hartford for many years. The bakery is known for its pastries and cookies but perhaps is best known for its delicious cakes, delicately flavored with Italian flavors. A crowd favorite is the multi-layered cake with whipped cream and fruit filling (stravberries, peaches, bananas) that tastes like a cross between a cake and a light, delicious shortcake. It's the best! Customer service is great and always friendly.

        They are reasonably priced, do exceptional work and I have never been to a shower where everyone liked the cake. There wasn't a single complaint about it being to sweet or anything. It tasted as great as it looked. :)

        Best of Hartford County and beyond. Never a disappointment.

        Polite staff and a plethora of Italian goodies. Ask for an assortment of cookies to bring to a party and be the biggest hit. Amazing single Tiramisu!
