Once again expectations exceeded by National. This time at BWI. The best decision we have made was to join the National Emerald Club Team. Whether we are in Sarasota, Austin, or Baltimore Washington International staff exceed expectations. Agent at BWI check out was prepared to offer guidance in getting to our destination and process for leaving airport area. Sadly cannot remember her name as paper misplaced after I wrote her name down. If anyone at National reads this I departed through exit kiosk at very left of lot at 1136 returning at 1605. RA #439067257 is agreement if this will help in identifying her. Please extend our sincere thanks.

I had 5 star service at the National car Rental Service BWI. The staff was very helpful to me when I needed to leave the rental there for a few hours so I could take my personal vehicle home. The counter staff brought the rental back inside the facility with no problems and parked it while I went home.

Never had a more seamless rental. The staff was completely professional. There was a hiccup with one of the vehicles being parked in the wrong lane, but the staff resolved it with class and believed customer satisfaction was paramount.

I left my GPS in National rental car while returning at Dulles airport on August 14 and there is no trace of it as of today, August 24. I have spent so much time already trying to find my lost item. National car rental does not take returning lost items seriously. I will not rent with National car rental again.

i made a reservation for emerald club, after signing up for EC at the Denver airport location. the selection of cars, however was not the same. in fact there were only about 5 cars available. I told the aisle attendant I was looking for a larger vehicle and I was told by the aisle attendant that all of their larger vehicles where sold out for the summer. and that technically my reservation was only for a mid size car. but I was however able to get a mini van, because as I was told "it is parked in the wrong spot. so I guess you can take it"

Mrs. Francis is WONDERFUL !!!! she was friendly, fast and made me feel like I was renting from family.... If every person dealing with the public handled themselves like Mrs. Francis life would be alright. The rest of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly but there is something about Mrs. Francis and how she makes you feel comfortable after the frustrations of flying and dealing with individuals who could care less about you.

Every employee at your Baltimore-Washington airport on Wednesday morning, September 23.was helpful but especially a lady in "lost and found." I left a suit jacket (claim # 930780)



When I contacted "lost and found" I talked to a lady there (a real person not a recording) who was very, very helpful. My situation was complicated because I left it in one of your cars at the airport when I decided to change to another car. I did not know how to identify the car (where my jacket was) except to say it was a "white, midsize, Honda. Immediately getting the coat back to me was complicated because I was in Washington, DC to attend the Joint Session of the Congress and see and hear Pope Francis speak on Thursday morning.



It was within 3-4 hours of making my claim that I was contacted on Wednesday. It took more than one phone call from her, but when she found the jacked, she called me for forwarding instructions. (I had also filled out a claim form on your website.) I would like to give you her name but I have misplaced it. Nevertheless, she is fantastic! She had gotten National a life-long customer. As an Emerald Club member, I was able to pick the car I wanted and was on the road within minutes. I had an issue with the windshield wipers and notified the agent upon return and they credited me one day. They were friendly and the car was super clean! Thanks National!

Checkout @ BWI was quick, entered my reservation number, saw I was an Emrald Club member, and told me to pick anything from the EC area. Saw many new mid-low tier Dodges and Chevrolets, and felt despair. Then I saw a Ford Fusion completely covered in over 1/2" of ice (windows/paint/wheels), and was relieved. Once the car thawed, it was a very nice car, rode well, had a sunroof (impractical in the snow/ice, but i still used it twice), leather, seat warmers, Sat radio. Completely happy with the rental. Even the ice coverage to begin with, if the Fusion had been cleaned off, I seriously doubt it would have been available. As others have stated, the vehicles looked turned over quickly, not really cleaned inside but was adequate. And some wax on the outside would have probably prevented ice from sticking so securely. I would rent this vehicle again.

National is one of the only companies I'll rent from. While their employees are always kind and helpful, I'd suggest they fire the folks that are supposed to be cleaning the cars and hire new people. I'm an Emeral Club Executive Member and we rented this past weekend. No less that the first 5 cars I sat in were beyond filthy! I finally told the agent what I was looking for and preferred something cleaner. He brought me a car from their general isle but it to was beyond nasty. I literally had to give him a baby wipe for his hands and wipe down the stearing wheel cause there was jelly or some crap all over it. The floors of the car where nast as well as the windows. While his service was nice, they need to take a lesson on cleaning up cars!

When car returned on August 28th, agent with hand held computer couldn't access records. "Are you sure you rented from National?" she kept asking me. Finally gave me a piece of paper with the car number and "Gas full" written on it; "Take it to the counter" she said. Waited in line, gave to desk agent. Told him the gas was full. He developed a receipt - which charged me for the gas! "This is wrong" I said. "The tank is full." He gave me a corrected receipt. National emailed me the incorrect receipt! I've rented exclusively from National for 20 or so years - worst service I ever had. I have emailed National Customer Service to correct this - waiting to hear back.
