Barger Learning Program, part of the Broadfording Christian Academy, is designed to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. The program caters to the needs of children with specific perceptual disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, processing delays, and other mild impairments. It providess individualized education plans for each student, and offers instruction using multisensory techniques and interactive methods. The program offers remedial tutoring, and specialized language arts and math classes for students in grades nine through 12. It offers a literacy intervention program that includes components of language art, such as phonemic awareness drills, spelling, word recognition, vocabulary development, fluency, comprehension, writing, and grammar. Barger Learning Program is offered at Broadfording Christian Academy, which is located in Hagerstown, Md.
