The company, in partnership with the city government and major media organizations, develops various community programs, including recreational leagues, college scholarships, and coat and food drives. Esco was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Baltimore. It also has stores in Wheaton, Wash., and Hampton and Richmond, Va.
