Noank -Mystic Veterinary Hospital

Brought my 5 month old kitten for a ekg at 8am and at 5:45pm Dr. Donohue is leaving the building. The supervisor has to tell me that the technician never showed up. Now the kitten had 2 doses of medicine to be relaxed and no test. No explanation.

This is a great vet. He is taking care of business for me and I like him.

Dr. Otka and his staff are amazing! We have moved quite a few times and as such have seen many different vets for our 3 cats. We moved to southeastern CT in September and needed a new vet. Noank-Mystic Veterinary Hospital got very good reviews (some of the best I've seen) of local vets so I thought I'd give them a try.



One of our cats suffers from anxiety and with a toddler and a new baby on the way, I was just about at my wit's end with his elimination issues. I felt so bad for him, but did not know how to help him. He also was pulling out his fur due to his anxiety. I was wary of any vet taking me seriously since the cat is in otherwise good health. Our former vet had been responsive, but like I said, we had moved from that area.



My experience with Noank-Mystic has been exceptional. The vet techs were so gentle and warm and held and cuddled my cat. Dr. Otka REALLY took the time to listen to my concerns in order to understand what was going on with my cat. I did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Otka gave my cat a very thorough physical examination and drew blood and also got a urine sample. (Based on some of his behaviors/symptoms, there had been a suspicion that something biological could be wrong.) I walked away with a clear course of action and a treatment plan for his anxiety. I left the appointment feeling calm and heard and understood. I got a follow-up phone call exactly when they said I would.



If you are in the area and need a vet, I cannot recommend Dr. Otka enough! The whole office is on their A-game. And as far as prices go, anyone who has pets knows that good care doesn't come cheap. Dr. Otka's pricing is average for the area and for Connecticut in my opinion (and we've seen many vets over the years).

My first experience with this office was to show up an old diabetic large dog, and a brand new small breed puppy. Two completely different sets of concerns, A LOT of questions, and everything was handled/answered completely, professionally, and in a calm friendly manner. The office seems like a renovated older home, and it felt very much like a "homey" atmosphere. The prices were comperable to most other places that I called, but the general manner in which we were greeted, and treated made me feel like it was a bargin. I will continue to use them, and I would very readily recommend them to anyone.
