I wish we had the same experience people have mentioned. We have nothing but nightmares and still in the process of building. A lot of small issues but several big ones that no one wishes to address; they continue to build and move forward to finish without Quality and Concern. It's a take it or leave it attitude and we will do what we want whether it's right or wrong. And this list goes on.....

Yaaaaallllll. Do NOT use these people to build your house. I could write a laundry list of reasons but most recently my air conditioner broke in my NEW house. Called their “emergency” line only to have them tell me it’d be tomorrow between 11-2. I contacted the warranty guy, Shawn, who did nothing. He just reiterated what the lady on the phone said to me and encouraged me that I would be first on the list of someone canceled. That’s not an emergency service. It’s July and my 18 month old son is sweating while he’s trying to eat his dinner, let alone the rest of us. I called a real emergency heating and cooling company, they’ll be here in an hour. Here’s the list of mishaps since we started building: Multiple building errors resulting in delayed closing: Wrong carpet, grout, spindles, missing loft, Back splash messed up, window leak, missing outlet, I’m sure there’s more Septic tank not wired to the house causing a major back up Roof leak Ground not graded properly for flow of water leaving us with almost no grass in the back Multiple electrical issues. We’ve had the electrical company out 4 times or more Not completely finished at closing or near closing (I had to post a google review to get that done and talk to Tim, the owner) Now the air conditioning is messed up and it hasn’t been a year...

This was our 2nd home build and building with SK was an entirely better experience than our first! Nate Herb, the agent for our neighborhood went above and beyond to help us in any way he could. Our one year walk through items were minimal and easily fixed. The only thing keeping our review from 5 stars is the no shows and late shows from contractors to finish our punch list items before move in, which resulted in things that had to occur after our move in to close on time, which of course meant time we had to take off work to be there. Overall, very great experience, we've been in our home for 1 1/2 years now and we love it!

SK Builders and McAlister Realty (Nate!) built us a beautiful home. We did a lot of changes and upgrades, and they were very accommodating. As another reviewer stated they are the perfect blend between custom builder and tract builder and we agree. We were able to personalize and customize any feature in the house we wanted. We were guided easily through the process by McAlister Realty. This was the third house built by SK in our family and all are well built and well loved. Thanks Nate and his Bill for helping us through this, I would even do it again!

This was our first time buying a home. Our home was a spec home so most of the details were already picked out. We were able to add additions with no problems. One suggestion: add the extra sod! We thought we would save money by doing hydro seed but it washed away. If we could go back and add the extra sod on our large lot we would. Overall our experience has been great with SK.

As a first time home owner, I was a little apprehensive about the whole process. Luckily, I was able to find a development by SK Builders with a lot available. They walked me through the entire process of building with multiple walk-throughs. The house was finished efficiently, professionally, and most importantly, on time. I've now lived in the house for four months with zero issues. Many thanks to SK Builders for making my first home buying experience a pleasure.

Our house is absolutely perfect! There are a lot of floor plan options and colors. My husband and I were able to build our dream home and it was so affordable! They were extremely helpful throughout the entire building process. In the beginning, we were nervous to get started because we have heard that building a house can be extremely stressful, but it has been much easier than anticipated. Everyone has been so helpful in getting it built quickly and ensuring that everything is correct.Their team was so helpful in getting us answers when we had questions and genuinely caring that that we were happy and taken care of. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build! We are so excited to be in our new home! Thank you SK!

We used SK Builders to build our first home.
Although we were postponed on our closing date several times, we have been very happy with our home since moving in.
Shawn, the home inspector at the 30 day walk through was incredibly helpful and informative.
A few of the staff in particular were very helpful and made sure to personally see that our closing went well, and we had all of the information that we needed.

We now live at Amber Oaks and our whole experience with SK Builders was and is excellent very minor issue on our home and they set up appointments immediately. There is know way to explain it except their experts in all phases of our journey from picking floor plans to our last inspection. I've bought 2 houses before with 2 different companies and never have been treated the way SK treated us with respect and friendly attitudes and the home looks and shows the pride they have in their work.

We love our new home! We just built with SK in Ellison Plantation and have been in the house about three months. Nate and Bill did an incredible job throughout the entire process. You'd be hard pressed to find a better experience, product, and value in building a new home.

I have been in my new home one year now and still loving it! The craftmanship and quality of SK Builders is like no other builder. In my opinion, they are the best.

We have been in our new SK home for 2.5 months now. The home is absolutely beautiful and far passed out expectations. We have no issues at all with SK. Anything that needed to be addressed was in a very timely matter and corrected immediately. We love our home in Pebble Creek Village and encourage anyone that is looking for a builder to get in touch with SK Builders. You will not be disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of there homes. I'm just glad we chose SK and now live in the home of our dreams.

I have lived in my home for a year now and I LOVE it. This whole experience has been smooth, easy and totally satisfying. They allowed me my changes as they built the home to make it customized to my taste, which is rare today. Even after closing, any questions I had were promptly taken care. Everyone I dealt with in this business was professional and helpful in all respects. I would HIGHLY reccommend them to anyone interested in having a home built.

We are beyond thrilled with our new home. The support that we received from the McAlister Realty realtor was over and above the "norm." She worked great with our realtor in helping us make great choices for our home that would suit our family. We were able to customize our home in many ways to fit our needs while still keeping our cost affordable. There were many floor plans to choose from, making SK Builders a great fit for any family. A few times during the building process, slight changes needed to be made to fit our original plans, but during all of those instances SK Builders made the adjustments necessary in a professional manner.
We did have a few issues with the grading within our subdivision, but we are still in the early stages and waiting to see how it all works out when the entire subdivision is developed.
Overall, we are very pleased with our decision to build with SK Builders and would recommend it to any of our friends or family.

I have lived in my SK home for three years now and I must say the quality of the home is exceptional. They have a variety of floor plans and options to add to your home to make it completely your own. While the building process was stressful, our wonderful realtor and superintendent worked together to resolve any issues. We love our SK Builders home and recommend them to any one who is considering building their home!
