Delta Air Lines

Our flight was changed several times before leaving the country. We were given the wrong information at the desk upon check in r/t we were to have an 8 hour layover in Atlanta. We ask about having someone to pick us up in Atlanta and not use the last leg of our flight. We were told that we would be charged more money if we did that. We sat in Atlanta airport from 1:45 pm until 12:45 am. I understand that the flights were delayed due to weather and that this was out of your control. But if we had not been told that it would cost us more money to not use the last leg of the flight we could have had someone to pick us up in Atlanta and could have been home by 5:00 pm. We also had our luggage in our hands at the Atlanta airport but had to check them in to be sent to GSP. When arriving to GSP we had no checked luggage. Our group had a total of 23 people. This made our third trip to Nicaragra in the last three years. We flew Continental Airlines the last two years and never had any problems. We are very dissatisfied with Delta airlines.
