General Info: The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Police Operations Division works to provide law enforcement services and ensure the safety and security of residents and businesses. It operates patrol, K-9 and crime prevention divisions. The division operates a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team that responds to high-risk law enforcement requirements. In addition, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Police Operations Division employs several school resource and community service officers. Its traffic safety team issues citations for traffic laws and educates the community regarding traffic-related issues. The division maintains a bicycle patrol team that handles traffic and pedestrian congestion and narcotics suppression.
