Dont Go There!!!! I bought a phython 533 at The Electronic Mobile Guro and was tolded when asked if there would be any problems and there answer was I would need to buy a bypass but no problems.. Made the appointment for the 15th of Dec. for 11:00. Had the car there by 10:00 was told 4 hours. At 2:00 my car had not moved from outside and by 4:30 when I came to pick it up they said just got started. Could I bring it back the 16th but on the 16th got a call and said installer called in so made another appointment on the 28th. Was promised at 9:00am my car would be the first to be worked on and it would take 4 hours. At 4:30 I went to pick up my car and they was putting it back together. At 5:30 the car was ready they said but now the check engine light was on which they finally fixed after a 10 min. wait. No one explain by using the bypass that now my car does not fuction the way it did before. The promise a guarantee for the life of my car but nothing was giving in writing. For my trouble they would give me a free detail the last day I took my car in. Did not happen but tolded I could bring my car back by July to have it done. On the rainy 29th I was driving and my windshield wipers quit and when I stopped in to Guro they said they never touched the wipers. Dec. 31 my mechanic found they had ran a wire but never secured it and it got wrapped around the arm and popped the arm out. 3 hour job. I have read this Guro has a complaint at the Better Buisness , Also read there reviews there are alot of people that have had the same problems I have had. They also write there own reviews that make them look good. ( Dec.23th). Taking my care in for the free details no way they will ever touch my car again. My 4 hours total was a total of 16 hours, plus a 3 hour mechanic charge. If you want a car starter go to a place that has good reviews and knows what they are doing!!!!!!!

Simply untrue. We run no wires anywhere near your wipers. You are lying. You are a horrible customer, and I have no desire to ever serve you again in the future. Take your business elsewhere.

Overall
Disappointed

Had a remote starter installed on my vehicle. They had installed the wrong one........actually a more expensive one which they let me have for the cheaper price. I think this was smart on their part because it actually took 3 appointments to have it installed. The first time they were supposed to come and pick my vehicle up (I work across the street) and no one showed up. The 2nd time I dropped my vehicle off and had it there all afternoon, came to pick it up at the designated time and it still wasn't done, So I had to take it back again for them to finish the job.

I was a little leary of giving them more business because of all the runaround with the first one, but I thought they seemed like nice guys and they are a new business, so I decided to purchase another one for my husband's vehicle. I bought it as a Christmas gift and we had it installed a few weeks later. When my husband came home and showed me the receipt and remote, I knew it was not the one I had purchased. They had installed a cheaper model. My husband was just going to forget about it because he doesn't have a lot of time for the runaround. So I thought it wouldn't be a big deal for them to give me a credit. I talked with Josh and he would not do that.......I do realize I purchased the more expensive model at a discount because they had a special running at the time. So now we had to spend more time for them to correct their mistake.

Finally, we decided to set up an appointment to have the correct one installed. My husband showed up for his appointment and the business was closed. He decided to run an errand and come back and it still was closed. What is up with that? Never received a phone call.

I called the next week and talked to Josh to find out what had happened. I realize things happen, but my faith in them is really waning at this point. I would think a professional would have at least called us with an apology and checked how they could make it better. I felt I needed to let him know I was disappointed.......felt like he was very defensive and not all that concerned about the situation.

I hope they can get their act together.......at this point I will not be giving them any more business.

My husband did stop back there and they switched out the remotes........make your own decision.

Michelle, I am sorry for all of the hassle! Let me explain the scenario behind this mishap...you had your remote starter installed during the middle of December. During December we are installing 13-20 Remote Starters every day. It is by far the busiest month of the year for us. This made it incredibly difficult to "squeeze you in", as a favor for our neighbor...which is what I did. We were extremely busy, scheduling 1 week to 2 weeks out. Sometimes things can get mixed up, especially when you start overbooking! I actually am the one whom made the mistake the first time. On 95% of the cars we install starters on, we install one of 2 models. -One-button with remote start ONLY -Four-button with Lock/Unlock and 500 ft better range. You asked for the cheaper unit. I accidentally installed the better unit. I didn't rip that unit out and install the correct one once I realized the mix-up, instead I said "oops, my mistake...i'll just give it to you at the same price!". I then sold you the 2nd starter ( & gave you a $50 discount for being a "loyal customer" after the $50 special was actually already over). This put the price of the starter at $0 more than the 1-Button Starter. The difference in REGULAR PRICE between the two units is $50. You wanted me to give you the difference in regular price for something that you didn't pay regular price for. Miss-communication plagued the Saturday morning which your husband was scheduled to come in to swap out the units. I apologized for this and again apologize. I was there as soon as I could be (1 hr after we were to be open). When I arrived I started calling people, got side-tracked and never got to calling you. I didn't hear from you for a week, hence I assumed you were just going to re-schedule again due to your "husbands busy schedule". You re-scheduled every one of your appointments 2-3 times which very likely added to the confusion. We did our best but made a couple mistakes, I apologize and I hope that you will give us the chance to earn your business again in the future! Owner @ The Mobile Electronics Guru

Very Happy

Between me my dad and my wife, we had 3 remote starters installed and one windshield so far. We are all very happy with everything. The remote starter on my wifes suberban was free with the windshield replacement. They gave us a deal that we couldnt pass up. Very good work GURU guys! Recommended to everyone.

Overall
You get what you pay for.

Non-existant customer service, they installed a remote start unit and windshield in my vehicle. The remote start did not function properly, had to bring it back the following week when at the time of install I warned there would be problems as they did not use the tach wire during the installation.

Another week later the windshield molding fell off while driving, after several phone calls and emails... no reponse until a 4th phone call.

Zero professionalism when you show up, no sorry's, they act like you're an inconvienece to them and very arrogant.

Couple of hackjob kids posing as professional installers, avoid at all costs.
