PEMFT. PEMFT is a faint magnetic current that is so small it is measured in millionths of an amp. By comparison a TENS unit and most other electro-therapies produce milliamps, 1000 times greater. Your own cells generate a current in the microamp range and this is why you can’t feel it - the current is so low it doesn’t stimulate sensory nerves. Frequency therapy has been in use for over 75 years. PEMFT is a physiological modality that increases ATP (energy) production in the cells of your body. In doing so, this dramatically increases the tissue's healing rate. The almost immediate response to the correct frequencies suggests that other mechanisms are involved as well. The exact effects or changes that result from frequencies have not been proven because no biopsies have been done after PEMFT has been applied. Hypothyroidism
Conventional western medicine physicians use the level of TSH as their gold standard for treating thyroid dysfunciton. Dr. Linda has found this to be Fool's Gold at best. The assumption is that if TSH is within the reference range so is thyroid function. In her past when she was a laboratory physician, she too believed this to be true. When you measure TSH and Free T4 in controls with no health challenges, there is a correlation: High TSH is indicative of hypothyroidism (underactive) and Low TSH is indicative of hyperthyroidism (overactive). This is not true for patients with health challenges. Many people who have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism are under treated because TSH is Fool's Gold and symptoms are ignored. Dr. Linda refers to this as “sublaboratory” hypothyroidism. Mark Starr, MD coined the term Type 2 Hypothyroidism which means one has clinical symptoms of hypothyroidism, but laboratory value which fall in the reference range.
