Dairy Queen

My wife and I came through Goodland, Kansas and decided to grab a quick bite at the Dairy Queen. It was 05/04/2014 at about 2:00 p.m. I ordered two hotdogs and my wife ordered a salad. Twenty-five minutes later we were still waiting for our food. We were second in line when we ordered and they had plenty of help. It seemed to us that they were all waiting for the other to do the work. We watched as three other couples came and ordered then left in disgust without their food. One couple went across the street to a Mexican place and came out with their food before we got ours! Another ten minutes and we were finally served. Unbelievable rotten service, and the place was dirty. The owners need to clean house of their help and start over. The hotdogs were good but a bit cold. One of the girl helpers had those metal things hanging out of her nose. Not something that would encourage an appetite.

This was the most horrible DQ ever! They had 3 people working on a warm Sunday evening, off I-70. One handled drive-thru and 2 young incompetents worked the counter. We waited 20 minutes (!) for soft-serve cones! The place was dirty, and the workers were untrained. Our cones had some sort of frozen concoction which we ended up throwing away when we tasted them. YUCK!

We make it to Goodland once a month for grocery's etc.. and for the last 3 months we've visited the Dairy Queen on the way home. These have been trips mid month and they've been out of the products to make the "Blizzard of the Month" everytime! Our last visit was beyond horrible and service (if you could call it that) was inexcusable!! While we were standing in line for over 20 min. waiting on ice cream after paying (not the one's we wanted because they were out of product) we settled for items less expensive and they refused to give a refund!!!! Meanwhile, 2 couples behind me walked out because they were not even greeted! 4 people on duty and only the young lady working drive thru was actually working. The other 3 were rude and wouldn't even speak to us customers...just rolling of the eyes, etc.. I will NEVER go back!!

Travelers beware! Apparently, the locals all know that the Goodland DQ is incredibly slow and has poor customer service. We waited for our food for at least 30 minutes before cancelling our order - we were. Or so. The folks ahead of us got their food after over 45 minutes. The manager did not apologize and was careful to charge us fully for our drinks when we asked for a refund for our lunch.
