I've probably hit every Ross store within a 20 mile radius of my San Gabriel Valley home at one time or another. Ross is the type of store you have to have patience to shop in - you won't always (if ever) immediately find what you want or need, but if you have time to hunt, you might leave with a bag full of bargains, making the inconvenience worth your while. However, this Ross location is one that I usually stay far, far away from. A recent weekday evening visit was met with a mess - I was looking for a pair of shoes I'd seen at another Ross store, and when I arrived here and walked back to the shoe department, nearly NONE of the shoes were on the shelves! I don't know if it's grammatically correct to say "nearly none," but that's how bad it was. Shoes were strewn about the aisles four and five pairs deep, completely preventing me from walking through to the other side. I was so frustrated I did an about face and immediately walked out of the store, vowing never to return again. However, on a more recent visit to the bookstore next-door, late on a Saturday evening, a friend and I decided to run in to Ross on a whim. And though the clothing selections were limited and in disarray (not grouped by size, etc), you could tell that some effort had gone into tidying up the store - including the shoes. Also, the lighting was brighter and the atmosphere seemed more welcoming somehow. This is still not my favorite Ross location, but seeing as it is close to my work, I may be more inclined to stop by on the way home if they keep the place up a bit better.
I found these guys on craigslist. This company is located in Glendale, which made it a LOT easier for me. The parking is a little confusing, but if you need help, you could park in the back and they DO have an entrance at the back of the store. Or just park in the front. The are really friendly people and they don't lie when they say they have the lowest prices. I went on craigslist to look for a sectional and starting seeing that other companies where carrying the same products. This store in particular starting advertising that they had the lowest prices, and I did my reasearch and the do! The sectional I got for my place was a sectional they had displayed in there showroom. They had it on sale for $899 & I don't know what the price would be now. if the website helps, check it out. it helped me! http://www.astarfurn.com
A star furniture had a sale going on this weekend so i decided to go check it out. . This place located in Glendale has a small showroom, but dont let that get to you cause what they are really doing is saving you a lot of money. I saw an add they posted on pennysaverusa.com and they where offering a leather sectional for only $999. They did have this item in the showroom which a good thing so if youre looking for it, I think they still might have it. Anyways, I just got this delivered to me and it looks even better than what I thought ( well cause its brand new!) if youre looking for great deals, id check this place out.
The food is just alright and the people that walk around look sketchy. All around just really mediocre food vendors in here, too many to try really. There are also some areas with non food types of merchandise but the focus here is really on the food; this place is easily 85% food. Most of the vendors seemed pretty friendly and the booths are well stocked earlier in the day and understandably a bit emptier later in the day. It is too bad they close so early. Prices are on the reasonable side. The place could be cleaner. Validated parking in the garage if you spend $10 at a single vendor...
I don't like the smell of Ross but you sure can find bargains here. If you shop well you will find nice clothes for a very cheap price you will not find in boutiques. Clothes are cheap nowadays and Forever21 seems to have very affordable clothes but Ross prices are cheaper. They also have trendy items but also have alot of junks. If you are a shopper I wouldn't recommend shopping at only Ross because if you shop at only Ross you will soon smell like it. Your closet will also look like Ross and after 1 or 2 years it will look like Goodwill.
This is by far the best place for furniture to ever check out! Not only did they deliver my furniture, but the also set it up! well, it cost me, but it was well worth it. Im really satisfied with my dining tables and sectional I got from here. This company has a really friendly staff too which makes things a lot easier. I would recommened calling to view an item you like that they have on there website.(astarfurn.com) If you dont, they might have something really similar to the item.
I purchase a couple pieces of furniture from here and they have all turned out pretty good. The pieces look very expensive but with reasonable prices. I always recommend everyone to visit them first. They have good prices and all the sales people are nice. If you know what you want you will be in and out. You will be very satisfied with their service.
I went to this place at the right time!!! Today they had a sale on sectionals and beds and I got a leather sectional and cherry solid wood bed for less then $1200. I went to other places looking for something similar and it starting running up for more than $1700. really great place to check out to save a lot of money.
We have been buying our furniture from this company for over 8 years, the owners and staff are super helpful, patient and friendly. They carry all types of styles of furniture, also, tons of catalogs to look through.
It's $1.37 for most items, fair enough for a discount store. It's my emergency stop for my kid's school materials since the store closes at 10 pm and has a good good selection of school and art/crafts materials.
