Martin Art Center’s AZ STEAM Shop is an Art Center offering STEAM programing for after school K-12 youth and school enhancement programs for young adults who want and need a more opportunity to succeed. With the focus on job skills and workplace development, STEAM is Science, Technology, Engineering ART and Math. Located in Glendale, AZ and in partnership with the City of Glendale, AZ we are THE PLACE for STEAM Education resources and activities. Whether "IN School", "Out of School" or "Home School" our programs are all about fun. We have a 1200 watt stage for music and demonstrations. We Host a MakerSpace to take science apart or assemble robots and learn Arduino and Raspberry Pi programing. We have a computer center for use by the public or for our our programs like "Beat Lab", "Google This", computer skills and programing. CEO and director, Martin Wesolowski, has worked with children and adults for 25 years, and as an exhibit designer and builder for the Arizona Science Center for 14 years.Marty says the natural next step in his career is to incorporate all of his experience into a non-profit educational program like no other. The AZ STEAM Shop works with local colleges and universities where interns educators and STEM programs can explore and define their own programs as well as facilitate the 25 different programs we have to offer. Our 5000 square foot facility is also host for night time events, birthday parties, conferences, meetings and stem clubs. In addition to all the cool stuff we also offer Kids' Cafe, a free meal everyday at 4 pm followed by a short science video, I guess you can call it dinner and a movie. Our after school program is free and Kids' Cafe is provided free thanks to St. Mary's Food Bank http://www.firstfoodbank.org/tag/kids-cafe Call or visit most anytime we are open.
