Awful experience. I brought a 94 Dodge van in to have the fluid changed and the seals replaced in the transmission. I was advised that it needed to be rebuilt so I had them do it.
$1500 later and the thing has never ran right. I took it back to them 3 separate times only to have a different set of rigmarole given to me each time. Once he even told me that because my trans was so old he had to get a speed sensor "all the way from Colorado " as he said it. I found the exact same sensor at the Autozone in their hometown.
It still doesn't shift correctly and now it sounds as if the front pump is come apart inside the trans.
This guy even gave my wife some kind of crap trans additive that can be bought anywhere, and told her it would help. Lol, that doesn't even sound believable because it isn't.
On top of all of that, this guy offers discounts or rebates for good reviews so keep in mind all these folks talking well of him were more than likely paid to do so

I have used them in the past for trans.repair on other vehicles and was completely satisfied then as I was this time. For the Best in HONEST Automotive work this is the PLACE. After being told by Big Box Auto Repair shop that I needed a new engine for my F 150. These folks retested mine only to fine it needed a good tune up. A saving of over four to six THOUSAND dollars as quoted by the Big Box. Honest and Great Work: I got my truck back in one day. Great group here. I had taken my truck into a couple of repair shops that quoted me about 5 times what Gardendale Wholesale ended up charging me. The other shops wanted to replace the whole assembly while Gardendale Wholesale said it could be fixed with one part much cheaper. They did the much cheaper fix and my truck's gear shift is working great now.

These folks are honest as the day is long. I had several issues on my '08 Mazda that could have been done the hard (expensive) way, or another (less expensive) way...and Brandon talked me through all of them until we found one that worked and that was affordable. On top of that, he won't take payment until you're happy with the result. You may have to wait to get an appointment: they're often very busy, and with good reason. But it's worth the wait to do business with folks who are so committed to doing it right and to doing right by by their customers. I can't recall ever saying I'm devoted to my car repair place, but I'm devoted to these guys!

There are so many things that make this company so wonderful. Let me start with how experienced they are, and how much respect they show their customers . I used to think having a Toyota would be a dealership issue, but a few years back Gardendale Wholesale Transmission was recommended to me and they now take care of all 3 of our cars. If your looking for professional, caring , honest and down to earth people this is your place. There has not been one thing on any of my cars to be repaired that they have not fixed, and the prices for the things we've had done have been so reasonable we could hardly believe it. I started having an issue with my transmission. I took my car in to Mr Transmission and they told me that they could do a "Free" diagnostic. Later that day my husband called to see if they had found the problem. They stated that I needed a RDI(remove, disassemble, inspect) which would tell them what was wrong with the transmission and would cost me $435 plus whatever repairs they did. Needless to say we wanted a second opinion. We found Gardendale Transmission on the internet and drove the car (that Mr transmission said would probably not make it down the road) from Alabaster to Gardendale. When we got there they hooked the car up to the diagnostic machine and told us we needed a sensor that cost less than the RDI. The transmission didn't even have to be removed. It was a couple of days before Christmas so Brandon told me it might be the next week before i could get my car back, but he called me later that day and said I could come and pick up my car. Thank God for the great people at Gardendale Wholesale Transmission. They saved us thousands of dollars because the RDI probably would have lead to a new or rebuilt transmission which we definitely didn't need. I will definitely be using them for all of my future car repairs.

I came across Gardendale Transmission by word of mouth from some guys I work with and they suggested that I take my car to Garderndale Transmission for the repair.



Its was a 1999 Toyota that needed to be fixed...so I had it towed there.



I just knew that it was going to need the transmission rebuilt. I got the call from the owner...and to my surprise it was only needing an axle replaced...I was shocked by the honesty.

Instead of costing thousands of bucks it only ran a few hundred instead.

I have had a great experience each time I need assistance with my vehice. I have been a customer for a few years now and they continue to do good work and letting me know if there are other issues with my car. I would recommend them to everyone. Cannot say enough good about these guys! Headed home from a trip only to have our transmission go out on us! Roadside assistance sent us to a place that wasn't even in business any longer so we held our breath and headed to what appeared to be the closest transmission shoo to our location, chugging along very slowly. We were met with knowledgable people who tried the less expensive things first before determining that the clutches were burned up. When it was determined that we were going to have to get the transmission rebuilt, their price was reasonable, the truck was ready when they said it would be, and we are very pleased! These guys are amazing. I dropped my car off on Monday (picked up on Thursday) with one issue and unsure about another, in doing so I must say I was very satisfied with the level of professionalism and quality of service. Brandon is the owner and he makes every attempt possible to work with you regarding the situation. He has a great group of employees who has a NO GIVIING UP attitude. There was an additional issue causing a problem and we were not sure what it was but Scott & Brandon refused to give up. They made every effort to provide us with both a cause and a solution. They were very informative with what they were doing and with anything that they may have found of concern. If your car is in need of repair I highly recommend Brandon and his crew.

These guys are great with finding out what is wrong with your car. We had another place put and engine in my mini van and well they messed it up. when I took it to Gardendale wholesale transmission to have the transmission work done, they actually found out that I have five broken motor mounts, that the other place had broken. They have built two transmissions for us and we are very satisfied with their work and the way they treat their customers. I will keep going back to them.

On June 7, 2012, I had a flat tire on Decatur Highway. The owner of Gardendale Wholesome Transmission stopped to offer his assistance. He told me that his business was down the road and that he would send someone to change the tire for me. Within minutes he returned along with two workers from the business. They were kind and friendly and changed the tire but found that the spare needed air. The ownner then called the business and another worker arrived with air to inflate the spare. This company, with its compassion and trustworthiness, has helped to restore my faith in humanity. I shall never forget the kindness shown me.

This is by far the most honest and professional place I have ever taken my car. It's hard for women to somenone to be honest and fair concerning auto repairs....

I highly recommend them for anu auto repairs they are courteous, friendly but most of all honest.
