They could care less about their customers and have extremely poor customer service skills. My wife's family flew in from out of state and planned ahead by calling this joke of a business to pre-order a scooter for my wife's stepfather who cannot walk well enough to even get as far from the car to the front door of our hotel. He spoke to several people and was assured that his scooter would be waiting for him in the lobby when he got to the hotel on Saturday. Not only was the scooter not there, they were closed until Monday, and just to top it off did not have the courtesy to return ANY of the several phone calls that were left for them. I was later informed by Angel (she does not live up to her name) that it was her supervisor who dropped the ball on that, a supervisor she would not get me in contact with. Such a brave man.



The scooter was delivered on Monday, with no instructions on how to break it down, and worked for about a day before leaving my father in law stranded when he decided to go for a stroll to get out of the condo (that he had been stuck in since they did not deliver his scooter). A stranger had to push him back to the door of our room.



After they sent their repair/delivery guy (who was very kind and compassionate, he should be the manager) to fix the scooter it then left him stranded again in the hall way right outside our door, after a full nights charge.



Now we are on Friday of our vacation and the furthest that my father in law has been is to the sidewalk outside the hotel. My wife and I decided to visit the Kevorkian Memorial Center errr I mean Southern Comfort Medical supplies to pick up a wheelchair so that maybe we can get dad to lunch on his last day of vacation when we ran into the not so lovely Angel.



Angel really needs a new job. One that does not entail dealing with people, or small animals. After hearing out complaints she could not be bothered to make eye contact with my wife who was standing right in front of her, she just kept making other phone calls because apparently if she ignored my angry wife long enough we would just leave. After hearing our complaints she told me "Sir, we have already apologized" she could have at least feigned some sort of empathy, and told me that "They have already given us a refund, what else was she supposed to do?" Thats when I lost it, I excused myself from the situation at that point.



If Melissa Behrens wants to run a quality business it may help to have workers who can at least pretend to care about disabled people. I wish I could give a review less than one star.

the girl that answers the phone is clueless.and todd iam suprized that she is still there.. i was looking for a part for a chair ,and she blew me off from the gitgo.not a good busness person,may be she has other talents.

The "manager" tells you one thing and then goes back on her word. They told me that a wheelchair we were renting was $150 and that the rental fees we had already paid would go toward that cost. When we went in to pay for it she would no longer honor that. I had a prescription for this wheel chair and was not supposed to be charged tax. She was not consitant with this. Would charge us one wk and not the next. The coward that owns the place obviously doesn't have the balls to deal with unhappy customers because I have left 3 messages for him in a weeks time and have yet to hear from him. I know many doctors at UTMB and PTs at Tideway and will make sure I pass on the info to NOT rent from this place!!

My wife is bed-ridden, recovering from an accident eight years back. We changed many times from other medical suppliers, until we found Behrens, and have absolutely no reason to change again. Exempliary service!
