Tropic Express Car Wash

Car accident in tunnel. Our car somehow got jammed in the automatic conveyor. Another car (also on the conveyor) ran right into us as a result. Hubcap damage (from conveyor), bumper damage (from car hitting us) and trim damage (fell off entirely!). Would have been fine if they took care of us. Nope! We spent hours there so they could blow us off. The manager gave a song and dance how it was entirely our fault and how he needed to review video. He saw the video and changed his tone. Without invitation, he tried forcing our trim back onto our car. "Just get some double sided tape and it'll be fine", he said. After calling the police (and our insurance), it would have been a long and drawn out battle in court over something so minor. I finally agreed to allowing them to reimburse our car wash and get us a new hub cap. They gave us the credit but it's been months of nothing (no returned calls or messages or hub cap). Hopeless.

Gainesville: if you ever use the services of the car wash on Archer Rd., be aware that the place is nothing like it used to be!!! they are under new management, new car wash machines....same prices, but they DO NOT vacumm or clean your car inside at all. You have to do it yourself!! I thought the reason to go to a car wash is so you don't have to do it yourself!!!! So at least they should have the option of full service for those who prefer full service, who are in a hurry or those who may be physically unable to do it. Don't go to Tropic Carwash! there is full service car wash place on Tower Rd. I felt like I was ripped off...for that I would have go to the $4 gas station car wash and save myself $11!!! (And the vaccum is not free...they charge you for that in your ticket.)
