Robert Matthias, Jr., M.D., earned his medical degree at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1993 before going on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and his fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Florida.He returned to UF in 2011 to work in the Department of Orthopaedics for Hand and Upper Extremity.Matthias was elected to membership in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Arkansas Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
