Chaucer's Sushi & Grill

upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated promptly and since we were the very first customers of the day at 11:30 am that wasn't a problem. Then a very nice waitress dressed like she should be in an 80's rock club took our drink order. When she arrived with our drinks we asked for one order of tuna sashimi which was very good especially since it took 30 minutes. We then waited another 15 minutes for the one order of salmon roe sushi which of course was extremely delicious for we were starving at this point. We finally received our salads another 15 minutes later and as you may have guessed 15 minutes after that our miso soup. Now having been an hour since we arrived, I wondered how our beef teriyaki would taste at this point. Absolutely delightful no doubt, however to our utter dismay, we were served the most horrendous serving of beef teriyaki ever. It had to have been sitting on the stove that whole hour we were waiting and the beef cake resembled a tasteless jr burger patti that had been fried past the point of recognition. We finally left as soon as we could stomach a few bites of our entree at 12:55. My word of advice would be this, if you are a young professional only interested in sushi, sexy waitresses and partying then this is the place for you. For those of you with an affinity for properly prepared japanese food served within a reasonable amount of time please dont waste your precious time and money at Chaucers sushi and grill. Gordon Ramsey would have had a field day with our experience.
