My husband and I went to eat there today and was taken back by the customer service they provided. I ordered a Calzone (which I love Calzone's and have a lot in my life time). But this one was not to my liking. Now I'm sure this Calzone was made the way its supposed to, but it was not the way I thought it would be. I've always got one that was like a folded up pizza...this was like a very tough chewy dough thingy filled with meats, bell peppers and cheese...topped with too much sauce that is like a spaghetti sauce full of bell peppers.... not pizza sauce (it was not what I pictured it to be). Now again I know its probably my fault for not reading the discription better, but I only could eat maybe 4 bites and that was it. I couldnt eat anymore, it was not too my liking. I told the waitress and she said since it wasnt thier mistake...I couldnt substitute the meal for something else that I would WANT to eat. Now I'm sorry... but if I wanted to keep customers, especially in this economy, I would have done ANYTHING to make sure my customer would leave well fed and happy. She did offer to get me something else but I would have had to pay for 2 dishes...NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE in my opinion. I will not eat there again.
Quite possibly the best onion rings and French dip I've ever eaten, and I've eaten quite a few! Wow. So good!
I went to Paisano's Pasta for dinner. The people were very approachable, and very friendly. Pastas start at 4.99, and you can pick and choose what pasta and what sauce you want. You can also add meat and vegetables for an additional charge. They also have combo plates that include pasta, sauce, and meat for a slightly more (6.49-7.99). Each meal includes a slice of garlic bread, and freshly made gelato, in orange and strawberry flavors. Be on the lookout for coupons in the paper, and online (to save some money!). They also have pizza by the slice, and offer other desserts- cheesecake and cookies. Available for dine in (very clean), or take out. Also have self-serve soda for the dine in guests. Great place for family to have a nice meal. Generous proportions, and friendly people.
I really didn't like how noisy the place is. The kitchen looks nice but there are literally explosions of clanking and plate crashing every moment you are there, not to mention the "roar" of the crowd. There just doesn't seem to be any effort to dampen the noise level. It's very difficult to get a booth and even if you did, you are still exposed to everyone in the diner. However, the food is well above average for most of the menu. I havn't personally tried everything on the menu (I doubt that will happen) but what I've had at this point was OK, but better than say "Red Robin" or "Marie Calendars"
I ordered a #2 Tortellini and Ravioli and my partner ordered a half and half Lasagna and Spaghetti. Mine was a little hard on the edges and tasted store bought (premade), food was ok though. The lasagna was great though even though both meals had what it seemed to be store bought shredded cheese on top lol! The bread was actually good with and without butter, ^_^ and the Homemade Italian Ricotta Cheesecake was great!
If you are looking for great authentic Italian food.. look no further! I've always been impressed with the mouth watering dishes served up! This is by far the best kept secret in town. Love the Romantic Ambiance, with it's old world charm..I've enjoyed plenty of parties and events here, they are Fantastic hosts and take pride in your families/friends dining experience. Bon Appetito!
Best Italian food in Fresno, excellent customer service. Every hand made pasta I've tried has been amazing. The waiters are knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings. The Parmesan cheese from Parma, Italy is so good. The owner even comes to our table every time to say hello and ask how everything is. That is why I keep going back and tell people they have to go to Parma.
We really enjoyed coming here! It was my first time, and our waitress was so charming. She kept coming back to check on us, and she even cut up a pie we had brought for our birthday celebration! She was the best!") And the food was great. I had the Steak entrée, and it was so soft and delicious! I'll be back very soon!
Just came back from there and was real disappointed with the menu it was small the liquor menu was bigger the the food menu it's not the same menu that's on yelp. The food was bland with no spices cooked in the food. But the service was nice and friendly. They told me that they changed the menu two months ago.
Great food, fun on the weekends and large wine selection! Besides the bar and dining area being beautiful the food is delicious! Everyone there is so nice and you feel so welcomed. If you try it out be sure to have the Chocolate Bread Pudding for Dessert!!!
Initially I was skeptical because they over booked, and we had to wait with a reservation, but they accommodated us on the patio, which I enjoyed. The appetizer to the dessert was incredible. Very flavorful and staff was great. I will go again.
