Oral Cancer Screening

Teeth Cleaning
Welcome to your first appointment at Miller Dental Arts in West New York. When you arrive in our office, one of our team members will greet you warmly. If you haven’t completed all of your new patient paperwork, we’ll be happy to help you do so. Then, one of our team members will take you on a brief office tour and introduce you to team members who are available. Then, we’ll complete a thorough examination and teeth cleaning and partner with you to make a plan for ongoing oral health care.
Dental Sealants
Sealants are used to protect teeth from potential damage that can be caused by bacteria and plaque buildup. Sealants are applied in a thick liquid state where they seep into crevices and pits where plaque can accumulate. Once in place, a curing light is used to harden the sealants onto the surfaces of teeth preventing potential damage and decay. Once in position, these dental sealants will remain in place protecting the smile for several years.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Traditional fillings were crafted from silver-colored metal amalgam. While these restorations offered effective repair for minimal decay and damage, they also noticeably impacted the aesthetic appearance of the smile. Additionally, metal fillings were held in position by wedges that were created through the removal of healthy tooth structure. Over time, these metal fillings would expand and contract at a higher rate than the natural tooth enamel which could lead to further damage, allow bacteria and plaque to build up between the tooth and filling, and many of these fillings were removed and replaced because of this. To avoid all of these potential concerns, our office uses natural looking composite resin filling materials. Gold Restorations
We offer these restorations in a variety of materials. For back teeth that absorb a large amount of the force of biting, we may recommend gold restorations. To achieve a more cosmetic result but retain durability, we may use porcelain fused to metal restorations. Crowns
A dental crown is a durable restoration that fits completely over the top of a damaged tooth. We place dental crowns for patients who have experienced decay that is too advanced to be treated with a more conservative solution. The process takes two appointments to complete. During the initial treatment visit, we prepare the tooth or teeth, capture impressions for our lab, and place a temporary crown. Then, patients return to our office when we receive the final restoration from our lab. We’ll exchange the temporary for the custom crown, leaving patients with flawless smiles.
Bridges
Crowns and bridges are two of the most commonly used restorative treatments in dentistry. We offer high quality, effective crown and bridge restoration using a variety of materials to ensure patients’ smiles are fully restored to their natural form and function. If you’ve experienced dental damage or decay too advanced to be corrected with a simple filling, we may recommend a crown. Braces
The aligners are removable, so you won’t experience diet restrictions or oral hygiene changes. After graduating Stony Brook University, Dr. Miller earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University School of Dentistry, graduating number one in his class and receiving the distinguished honor of Valedictorian, class of 1973. He acquired additional training as a dental resident at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He was inducted into the prestigious OKU Honor Dental Society and is a member of the American Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Bergen County Dental Society.
