Jan Bean lacks integrity. I walked into his office with $500 cash for bail that I had two weeks prior been told would be needed to bail out a loved one at the time of his transfer back to Taney County Jail after he spent two months getting stable at a State Psychiatric facility. The Judge made a mistake on the entry in the computer showing the bail was not $500, but $2,250. In order to keep my loved on his medication and stable (out of jail) I paid the $2250 by maxing out a credit card. After Judge corrected the entry the following Monday, we went to Jan Bean and kindly asked him to refund the overpayment of $1,750. He refused to do the right thing.
