We will let you know during your free initial consultation whether you or your child may be a candidate for orthognathic surgery. If you do select a treatment plan that includes surgery, we’ll help you find an excellent surgeon and will work closely with your surgeon and your general dentist to give you the best possible care throughout and after orthodontic treatment.

Orthodontics
Dr. Rob Caskey (retired) practiced orthodontics as a specialist in Flagstaff for over 20 years before his long-time friend Dr. Eric Peterson (right) joined the practice, and the name Northern Arizona Orthodontics was born! For the next 8 years, the two of them built a strong reputation in Flagstaff for having an incredibly fun, friendly, and caring practice. In 2013, Dr. Caskey’s daughter, Dr. Emily Peppers (left), became the third doctor on the team. Dr. Rob Caskey retired in 2021 and now Dr. Eric Peterson and Dr. Emily Peppers run a cutting-edge orthodontic specialty practice focused first on YOU and your experience as the patient.
Invisalign Orthodontics
You may also have the option of Clear Aligner Treatment (including Invisalign®) —a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners designed to gently move your teeth into alignment.
Braces
Once the exam is complete you will meet with the Treatment Coordinator in the consult room to discuss everything from treatment timeline to finances to insurance to scheduling the appointment to get braces on.

General Dentistry
Dedicated to sharing his knowledge, Dr. Peterson is the clinical orthodontist/instructor for the Winslow Indian Healthcare Center, and works closely with patients, doctors, and residents at the clinic. He developed an orthodontic lecture series that he presents to Advanced Education in General Dentistry residents, which introduces orthodontic concepts useful for both private practices in general dentistry or a foundation for an orthodontic residency. Dr. Peterson is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, and the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists.
