Marathon Pipe Line, formerly known as Marathon Ashland Petroleum, transports crude oil and refined products to and from terminals, refineries and other pipelines. The company owns and operates pipeline systems that move refined products, natural gas and crude oil from production fields, offshore platforms and river barges to refineries and other product terminals. It monitors and controls more than 8,000-miles of pipeline through high-speed computers and satellite communication. The company maintains 24-hour surveillance and performs routine inspections, computer monitoring, corrosion protection, maintenance and testing programs, and employee training. It regularly conducts hydrostatic tests of its pipeline system. Marathon Pipe Line is located in Findlay, Ohio.
