Sugar Point Resort is an excellent and affordable vacation, fishing, camping, watersport, and weekend getaway destination for you, your friends and family. With 19 seasonal modern cabins, one brand new year-round cabin, a Seasonal Campground, as well as a full hook-up RV and primitive campground; we are sure to have the accommodations you are looking for. Seasonally we are open from May for Minnesota Fishing Opener until mid-October (weather permitting). Sugar Point Resort offers access to countless outdoor activities as well as access to Leech Lake; home of some of the most exciting world-class fishing. With many points and bays, fishing Leech Lake is just as much fun for the novice fisherman as the professionals. Enjoy s'more's by the campfire and listening to the Loons call. Star gaze all night and watch for the Northern Lights. Bring your boat, kayak, tubes, floaties or Jet Ski. If you don't have a boat, rent a boat or pontoon from us. Bring a book to read lakeside or pool side. Kids have a blast at Sugar Point! Sugar Point Resort's spacious grounds provide a safe environment for kids, with an indoor pool, 2 playground areas, a protected harbor for fishing and fun plus weekly children's planned and spontaneous activities. They will make friendships that will last a lifetime. During the summer, we have pedal boats, kayaks, SUP's (stand-up Paddle boards) and a swim platform free to use for in-house guests. There are acres of open ground for activities and trails for hiking. Our lodge is open from May through October where you can shop for SPR merchandise, enjoy ice cream treats or hang out to hear about the latest hot spots. We have pizza, snacks, bait, ice and boat gas available as well as the most popular Leech Lake fishing tackle. Memories are made at Sugar Point Resort. Vacation becomes tradition.
