General Info

The Farmington Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintains social law and order. It undertakes cases of homicide, rape, assault, robbery, child abuse, auto theft and domestic violence. The department hosts Lost Child Alert and Technology (LOCATER) and Project ChildSafe programs. The Farmington Police Department operates a communication center that responds to calls for police and fire emergency and nonemergency services. It is a member of the Central Illinois Emergency Response Team (CIERT). The department supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which focuses on the prevention of illegal usage of drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. The Farmington Police Department is located in Farmington, Ill.
