Arthur F. White Funeral Home provides the following services shipping service, bereavement services, cremations, counseling services, financing available, pre-arranging services, caskets, funeral services, and the transfer of remains from one point to another. This service can either be with or without the family in attendance. Our location is in very close proximity to many of the busy cemeteries of Long Island, Saint Charles, Long Island National, Pinelawn Memorial Park, Mount Ararat, Beth Moses, Wellwood Cemetery and New Montefiore are all within a ten minute drive from us. Another advantage is that we are centrally located on Long Island, making travel to New York City and its major airports very convenient. Different situations require different arrangements. Often survivors are unable to travel to New York. Therefore when an out of state funeral home contacts us, we will tell them what day will be good for the burial but the burial time will not be definite. Many times although no family is present, a funeral director will say prayers. If a family prefers, we can arrange for clergy to meet us at the cemetery and we will join him or her in the committal service. If a family will be attending the interment, a mutual convenient day and time can be arranged. Regarding the transfer of remains to New York when no viewing or wake is to be held out of state, it is usually more advantageous for the family to contact us directly. We would then employ the services of one of our funeral agents located where the deceased has passed away and in cases like these the family will only need to deal with one funeral home. We also send remains from New York to other states and Countries. If we are going to other countries, we arrange all of the proper documentation required by that country's consulate. Each country has different requirements.
