Cafe De Artiste - Fallbrook

You won't find more affection and gratitude from Michael, the proprietor, at any cafe in North County, San Diego. He and his co-workers reflect the down home loving ways of this small village.

Cafe de Artiste is truly home away from home.

Thank you Michael for your community spirit and generosity that you exhibit to one and all. You and your staff will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Happy New Year to you all.

Best Regards - The Massey Family

My experience at the cafe

I found this establishment to be both delightful and found the food to be extremely tasty. The owner and staff where most pleasant and knowledgeable in the areas of food and drink (wine).

A TASTE OF NEW YORK IN FALLBROOK

Out among the avocados? If you're ever in Fallbrook - the

"Friendly Village" which is 6 miles west of Highway I-15,

between Temecula to the North and Escondido to the South -

take a moment to stop by "Rocco" Calvanese's "Cafe des

Artistes." A real working soda fountain, and "Rocco," who

is from Brooklyn, can still make an "Egg Creme" the

old-fashioned way - even without "Fox's 'U-Bet'" chocolate

syrup ! Good "panini" sandwiches, and desserts - in

"Rocco"s words - "from the best bakery around."

Take some time, also, to take in the work of some good

local artists, and to chat with the friendly staff and docents

of The Art and Cultural Center.

New York in the avocado groves!
