REM Heartland is a provider of in-home support, intermediate care, consumer-directed support, temporary and respite care, program services, management consultation, training and assisted living. The organization is a division of REM. Founded in 1967, REM is a privately owned company that offers an array of services and supports for people with disabilities. It provides services for children, adults, seniors and families with varying needs, including developmental disabilities, brain injuries, challenging behavior, medical needs, issues relating to mental health, chemical abuse or dependency, a history of legal offenses, Alzheimer s Disease, fetal alcohol syndrome and physical disabilities. The company operates more than 15 offices throughout the state of Minnesota. REM Heartland has offices in Mankato and Fairmont, Minn.
