Total Rental Center, Inc.

We paid over $730 for this place to screw up our wedding. We rented two 10 ft x 20 ft tents, some tables, and some folding chairs for our front yard. We scheduled delivery for the day before our wedding at 2:00 p.m. We have the invoice reflecting that date and time. The day before the wedding, it hit 5:00 p.m. and we had not heard from them. I called them and was put on hold for a very long time. The call disconnected. When I called back, a female employee told me that we were not scheduled for delivery until 2:00 p.m. the next day.

I explained to her that our wedding was beginning the next day at noon and that we had scheduled our delivery for three hours ago. I asked her if I should come in there with the invoice. She responded that it wouldn't do any good and that we would not be getting our delivery until the next day at 2:00 p.m. I told her again that our wedding was starting at noon the next day. Her response was to tell me that they were closing in 40 minutes. She asked what I wanted her to do about it in a very rude tone. I hung up the phone and had my fiance call her back.

In the time it took him to call back, this rude employee had been doing damage control with her manager. She tried to convince my fiance that they called us earlier in the week and confirmed the delivery date and time. We both looked at our phone logs. They had not called either one of us. We would not have confirmed a delivery time for 2 hours after our wedding started. This was a blatant lie on their part.

My fiance convinced them to deliver at 7:30 a.m. the following morning. They did not show up until 7:45 a.m. It took them nearly three hours to set up the two tents, leaving us with an hour and a half to decorate and set the tables. Luckily, we had some of our friends and family there to finish setting up.

When the delivery drivers came back the next business day, they again arrived late. They left our lawn littered with cut zip ties, disposable coffee cups, and cigarette butts.

Total Rental Center has lost a lot of potential customers already. With any rental company, DO NOT PAY IN FULL until service has been rendered!!! What a mistake for us to have done. The schedulers were helpful, but the delivery service men were awful in promptness and customer service INCLUDING their manager Conner. After calling at 8:30am to verify setup time to be between 9 and 9:30am of the same day, they showed up an hour and a half late (leaving a message on my phone at 9:55 that they were running late). During that call, the receptionist said they were loading and were going to make it on time, especially since the place they were setting the stuff up was only 5 minutes away from their center. It was our baby's first birthday party, and we had a wedding to go to the same day, so you can imagine how stressful our day started with Total Rental. That was not all. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with their tardiness (mind you we were very upset, but we were still civilized), the manager Conner said if we were not happy with them that we "could cancel the order". The men who were setting up said that is just how their boss is. If you were a customer in this situation, who do you complain to when the one in charge is acting very rude? That is not the end of it. The men showed up 2 hours later than what was planned for pickup. Good that they gave us extra time with the rental stuff since they were late to deliver, but bad that we were on a time crunch to make another engagement. After everything was picked up, 3 hours later, I get a message on my phone (during the wedding) that the stuff was scheduled to be picked up a day later than what was planned. I was already exhausted that I waited the next day to call and verify that they received everything that was rented. The receptionist said that she had no clue and that the stuff was probably still in their truck. She would have to verify with their manager Conner. Another advice, make sure to get a receipt that delivery of all the things rented was picked up. Overall, we will no longer do business with Total Rental Center on Evergreen Way, and we will pass on our experience via online and through word of mouth.

Rented their 6 inch wood chipper, the feeder was extremely dull and would not grab the branches very well.

read the fine print on the contract before you sign,they broke into our garage and took there items,no legal leg as a consumer to stand on.
