Avoid this store. Radio Shack, is the worst company for returns of your own defective products. During the holidays I purchased a charging cable from their Modesto, Ca store. It never worked. After returning home from the holidays, I tried to return the defective charging cable at my local Eureka (Broadway) store and their rude and disagreeable employees C.J. (I asked for C.J.'s last name and he said that was "personal and private information") and asst manager Megan (who also refused to give her last name) at the local Eureka, Ca store refused to refund my money.I had the receipt but I did not have the original packaging. They said they were doing me a favor by allowing me to purchase an even more expensive item (give them more money) in trade for the defective product.I asked them who produced this defective product thinking I would go to the manufacturer under the manufacturer's warranty, and they said it was a Radio Shack product manufactured in China. So I guess they do not stand by their own products. They also told me that to try to return it to their corporation, I would have to call their customer service number. Called that number and was told: "we are receiving a large volume of calls, please call back at a more convenient time." I left a message with their CEO's assistant and with Dan the manager of the Eureka Broadway store. No calls back. I also tried to send an email via radioshack.com and it refused to send asking me to "check the problems below" but did not indicate any specific problems. I think it will be easier to sue them in small claims court. What a disappointment that Radio Shack has become such a shady company and the customer service at this store is so terrible.
