Very impressed by this company! We had 4 companies come out to give us a quote for AC install/new furnace and Treat's was unbeatable in all areas: professionalism, price, knowledge and customer service. Not only were they great about getting in touch to let us know they were headed out, they left our house spotless. The install was clean and looks great! I had my heating/air conditioning system fan fail during the hot days of July. I called Treats of Enumclaw to come and repair the system. I told them that it was the fan that was not coming on, but everything else seemed fine. They told me that their service person would make that call for $119 + tax after his evaluation. Labor charges would be $120/hr. I offered to send them the motor model numbers before he came, but again they insisted that they would have to come and make their evaluation first.

The technician came and quickly determined that it was a bad motor and that a replacement motor would be about $1500. However, his recommendation without looking any further was to replace the entire system, and he could do it for about $8000. I have to say that I almost stopped listening to him at this point, but he said his office person would contact me before the end of the day with solid timing details and costs. No one called, so I contacted the manufacturer and got the motor/controller numbers. Local distributors were not willing to give me much information, so I typed the motor numbers into google and the exact same motor was available on Amazon for $375 and the controller for $400.

Treats called back the next day (after I left a message to cancel further service for lack of response). They said they could do it all for about $2600 (labor + parts). I told them that their help was no longer needed, and that I had ordered the parts on my own. "Oh, well we could install your parts for just under $600 and no guarantee." I did replace it myself. There was only 2 bolts holding the entire fan cage. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to replace the motor/controller. The system is working perfectly now.

Bottom line:

Treats must have planned to hang out at my house for just under 5 hours to replace a motor that they deal with everyday that took me less than 30 minutes to replace. $585/120=4.875 hours.

I would assume that Treats could obtain parts at prices less than I could. So, if we assume also that Treats could get the motor/controller for $600, then they were marking up the parts by 333%.

They tried to take advantage of me. I will not call them in the future. I would expect more of a company in business for more than 40 years

Just had our annual maintenance for our heat pump. The technician was on time and did his usual thorough job. Been using Treat's for 20 + years at two residences and have always been pleased with the prompt friendly service and their attention to detail.

Their technician was on-time and was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I used Treat's Heating and Cooling for a Furnace Maintenance on a house I recently sold. Everything about the process was great. Scheduling was easy. They called me a day ahead to confirm/remind me of my appointment. They also called the morning of to give me an estimate of when the technician would arrive. The Technician was professional, efficient and left no mess behind even though my furnace was in an attic above a bathroom. Very pleased and would recommend Treat's to anyone needing Heating and Cooling services!!

Just put in a new gas furnace at my mom's and Treat's made it a painless and amazing experience! They were honest, reliable and extremely knowledgeable. They fit us in their schedule when they were already totally booked and they gave us great options and a bid right then and there. No waiting a week for them to price it out. Had two fireplaces and our furnace serviced today. Our service person, Garrett, was patient and professional throughout the call. He explained what he was doing and made sure we understood the process taking place. One fireplace had a part wearing, but he advised it would be fine probably for a couple of more years and he just wanted us aware of how we would know it had failed when that finally happened. Nothing was pushed at us. Pricing was explained right up front. Garrett was very careful, using a drop cloth, to keep our home clean even removing his shoes as he walked on our wood floors. I highly recommend Garrett and the Treat's Company and will be passing their name on to my neighbors.

Dan come out last week to do an annual maintenance service call. It was for the gas furnace with the AC. Everything was great. No new parts required. He did an adjustment on the fan speed and adjusted the fan vibration to Zero. He said if the fan vibration comes back, it will have to be replaced. So far everything is OK. We had Dan last year and found him to be very knowledgeable. We asked for him his year and in the future. We already prepay for next year. He is our go to man.

I was super impressed with Treat's service. They were able to come out and diagnose the issue with my heat pump within 4 hours, and the service technician, Dan, was friendly and knowledgeable. I pride myself in being a handy person who can fix a lot of common issues and I try to understand how things in my house work; Dan was more than happy to help educate me further on the in's and out's of my system. In the end, the cost to fix my system was even lower than the initial estimate. I would highly recommend Treat's professionalism and integrity.

A few years ago we had Treat's come out and service my mother's heating and cooling system. They were great. They made sure everything was working properly and that she had everything she needed. Would use them for a service calls again in the future. They were super nice and it was super fast and easy to work with.

We have had Treat's service our heating/cooling unit for the last three years in a row and they have been great. Quick to get to us, order parts, install, fix, and fast at getting someone when we need it. Plus they are usually within the first hour of our call time to come out. Which is so nice. So I don't spend ALL day waiting!

Treat's Heating and Cooling has been an amazing company to work with and I give them my highest recommendation. Few things stress me out like house problems, but Treat's has made my most recent house crises as stress-free as possible. They have helped me with a new water heater, a new furnace, and a new furnace vent cap all within the last year. My house is just at an age where these things are starting to go out and I knew that I would need to replace them. My furnace had been serviced twice before by other companies (which were fine), but I knew it was near the end. First it was the water heater, then the furnace, and then thanks to a recent wind storm the vent cap blew off the roof. On all three occasions, Treat's was able to come out right away. They were very professional, efficient, and reasonable. They did the work in a timely manner, understood my financial concerns, arranged all of the required inspections for me, worked around my schedule, and followed up afterwards. It has been so easy to communicate with them either by phone or email and their responsiveness has been impressive. They also have a convenient online payment system now. I also liked that they were local and, apparently, they liked that in me as well because I got a local discount. While I hope I do not need their services for a while now, I would contact them again for any work I might need done and I will highly recommend them to anyone who will listen.

We first contacted Treat’s Heating (Auburn Sheet Metal) in 1987 to install a complete duct work under our house in Buckley. Then after we moved to the Frederickson area we had them install a new heat pump and repair the existing duct work. This summer when our heat pump/AC bit the dirt, we had them installed a new one and a new furnace unit. ALL of our experience with Treat’s has been excellent. The techs that have worked at our house(s) have all been courteous, efficient and friendly. Our interaction with the sales and office staff has always been great. Prices have always been reasonable and competitive.

September 2011 - Came to do an...

September 2011 - Came to do annual clean on our furnace, said all was good, and furnace was good for another few years. 5 mins after he left, I smelled natural gas. Called them, and tech said "no big deal, if it's still a problem at 4:30 today, call us." I opened windows and left. At 4:30 our house wreaked of natural gas. They showed up at 5:45, and discovered.......a gas leak. Had been going on all day. Furnace is in the crawl space of our house. I'm glad our windows were open so that our dogs lived. This company put us into extreme danger. We had two more companies come out, didn't tell them about this, had them check furnace. Cracked heat exchangers, bad burners. We are having furnace replaced this week (not by Treat's !) Buyer beware. Most of all, be safe.
