Skin Cancer
Are you a male over the age of 50? Do you have a family history of Prostate Cancer? According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among men in the U.S. Fortunately for most men, their prostate cancer can be found early through a blood test called a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) and a digital rectal exam. PSA is a protein made only by the prostate gland. This can be measured with a blood test. Advanced prostate cancer is when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Most often the cancer will spread to the bone, lymph nodes, and liver.
