- A welder by trade, owner Dan Miller founded Dan's Service Center in 1982 as a small family business. Known for his skill and attention to detail, the business soon flourished. Area RV dealerships and manufacturers soon became our steady clients and commercial drivers wanting pick-ups equipped also became a significant customer base. Specializing in hitches, wiring and towing equipment, we install and distribute major brands such as Reese, Kelderman, Roadmaster, Blue Ox, PullRite, and Draw-Tite as well as many others. Installation ranges from cars and small pickups to medium duty trucks, RV's and even busses. As business expanded, so did our product line. Now a Vortex Spray-On Bedliner installer at our Elkhart location, Dan's portable system is great for many applications such as pick-ups, boats, toolboxes, fender steps, bus floors...the sky's the limit. Being the best means being on the look-out for new products and solutions that help customers protect their investments and make their lives easier. Dan prides himself on finding better ways to serve you and our friendly sales and service personnel look forward to meeting your needs. 25 years ago, we would have never dreamed we would have 15 employees and two locations. Had a fifth wheel hitch and backup camera installed. They are very knowledgeable and the service was great! Dry happy.
Had the Load Lifter Ultimate 5000 airbags with compressor / remote installed on my truck. The whole team was very knowledgeable and professional. They were very busy so you need to be patient but it is well worth the wait.
Went in thinking I needed just a 4 prong flat plug (shows what I know!). In a short time, Dan's had rewired my trailer (eaten by mice!), welded a broken shackel, replaced dead lights, and replaced the plugs on both trailer and Jeep....what wonderful and great service...should have gone there before trying to fix stuff myself!!! And, charges were very reasonable!!
We've gone to Dan's for several things since I had a hitch put on my Jeep in 2005...no b.s., down to earth, experts!!!!
I drove 2000 miles to Dan's to have a tow bar installed on my 2014 Ford Focus. Ok, so I was going to Indiana anyway. I had tried to get one installed before leaving Ca but U-Haul ordered the wrong parts and canceled the order a day before I was to leave. Dan's was recommended to me by a friend in Elkhart so I called and made a appointment for when I arrived. Not only did they install my tow bar in a timely manner I saved a lot. I would recommend them to anyone looking for anything to do with hitches.
