On 11/10/2020 I dropped my Huskylok serger off to be serviced. I was having quite a few problems with thread tensions and couldn't get them adjusted properly myself. I was told it may be ready by the 13th. I wasn't able to get back until the 17th since I live quite a distance from El Paso. Dave, the owner of the business. was the person I dealt with. He is very courteous and knows his business well. The machine was ready to go and he explained to me what was done to the machine. No replacement parts were needed. He first told me that my machine is an excellent machine. I was a little worried at first about possible replacement costs or that the machine was irreparable, but was so happy to hear him say it was a great machine! This serger was bought in 1998 and one year later some other repair shop had replaced an upper looper on it. After nearly 23 years of use I was not quite sure what was going to happen, so you can understand how thrilled I was that it only needed minor adjustments. I got home and ran it and it sounds and runs like brand new! Thank you, Dave! This was not the first time I had service done on a machine and was very happy. This man knows his machines and is very honest about the work. I will be a loyal customer as long as I live in the area and have sewing machines!
I am over the moon in love with my new Brother sewing machine! These guys, David and Gabriel are the BEST! I am a professionalmseamstress and teacher and I desperately needed to upgrade my machine. David listened to my concerns and recommended a machine to fit my requirements perfectly! The features included, like push button threading and thread cutting make sewing and quilting a joy. I could not be happier with my new Brother machine! PS..... this is an unsolicited review. I tell the truth!
Both my machines went belly-up so took them to get repaired. Dave - the owner was very knowledgeable about what would probably need to be done - he listened to my explanation of how I am using the machines (my business) and what I create. I explained that I really needed an industrial strength machine but didn't want one that only did the straight stitch. He explained that Brother made an industrial machine that would fit all of my sewing needs for my business. And he gave me a great price! This is a family owned business and they all are ready to sit down and explain how to do something.
My work day ends at 4:10 on the far east side. I rushed taking the loop to try to make it and I arrived at the American door at 4:45. I knocked on the window because it says closes at 5:00 so I thought it closed at five. I was told by a man it was already closed. I explained I needed to leave the machine and have it looked over. I was not able to. Busy schedule customers will not be considered.
I brought my sewing machine in because the stitch was skipping. It now sews a perfect stitch! Two weeks later, the stitch was messing up, I brought it in, and the technician explained and showed me how I was threading my bobbin incorrectly! No charge of course - and immediate correction to the problem. Great service by people who know what they are doing.
