Sam Jones contracted w/my dental insurance to be a provider, so, I made an appt. for consultation for full mouth extraction in preparation for dentures. They will tell you nothing till after panaramic xrays (paid every 3 yrs) then Dr. Jones spends a few minutes w/you and turns it over to his insurance specialist. You are then informed that X amt. must be paid before you can be put on the schedule for oral surgery. Mind you, this is not payable prior to surgery, but prior to scheduling. I don't mind paying the day of, but what if something happens due to unforeseen circumstances? They've got your money in advance of scheduling and what do you have in return? Dentists charge an obscene amount of money for services, but never in my 59 years have I had to pay one prior to scheduling. Does this bother other people or is it just me??? I am not a happy camper!
