I am only giving one star because I have to so that I can write this review. After having major rib pain after a fall I presented here. I do not even believe I was seen by a doctor. This is absolutely ridiculous. After having x-rays done, I was discharged by an LVN telling me there was no fracture and dismissed with a prescription. But for the paperwork, I would not have received the diagnosis. No doctor explaining the results. No explanation on the medication I would be taking. Just papers. RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR CARE!

I took my boyfriend in for severe pain on his side & weakness. He had been drinking @ home but he was immediately judged only on that which was not the initial cause of his pain. The triage nurse whose name I don't know was extremely rude. He only saw him as bring drunk & it really frustrated me to the point where I almost snapped & told him off but I didn't. Then after he was in a room, his nurse was not very friendly & treated him the same, as a drunk which he is not. However after finding out he was diabetic, he was a little nicer but not much. I would like to only Thank the doctor who was extremely nice & listened to what we had to say about why I brought him in. If Dr. Greene had not been so nice I probably would never go here again if needed in the future. I still might not but would consider it. Thank Dr. Greene!!

The Lady there was very rude and embarrassed my son in front of all the other patients there. They wouldn't see him even though he was in extreme need of medical attention. I would never refer anyone to this place.

They are amazing,patient and understanding. I was really sick and they assisted me with no judgment or fear. They good at what they do and sincerely caring.

the absolute worst doctor and medical experience I have ever encountered. The doctor here is arrogant and negligent with his patients and would rather lecture someone than actually study their medical history and help. I fear substandard treatment here has already caused me to lose a small amount of my hearing through multiple and poorly handled ear infections. Do yourself a favor and avoid this clinic and its head doctor at all costs and for those that are already patients there, Run, Run fast to any other family practice in the valley

Great Personal, family friendly

I had recently moved to the Rio Grand Valley from Alabama and was searching for a good pediatrician for my newborn, my toddler and 11 year old. My search led me to Dr. Douglas. She is very educated in newborn care and I was extremely pleased with her skills. She took the time to talk to my older children and was very caring. She listened to my concerns and addressed them all. She is not one of these doctors that gives out antibiotics for every little thing, causing more problems for children. She finds the cause and treats it accordingly. AKC has an in house lab and well child area. They even have a nursing mothers room! I never had to wait long for my appointment. The office girls are also very helpful and kind. Dr.Douglas is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend her for children of all ages. I just wish I did not have to move back to Alabama and leave her. This Doctor is a keeper!!

As a mother of 2 beautiful girls, I always try to provide the best for them and have been coming here since 1998 because the doctors at AKC ARE the best. They give special attention to each patient yet still don't keep me waiting for long. My kids have been seen by all 3 providers, but I especially love the way Deb de la Rosa advises my teenage girls. I would recommend this to everyone I know for the best pediatric service there is in South Texas.
