Eau Claire County Department of Human Services provides state and federally mandated human services to the most vulnerable and needy residents of Eau Claire County. Its programs serve abused and neglected children and adults; adults and children with mental illnesses; adults and children with developmental disabilities; youth offenders; adults and children with alcohol and other drug problems; and children, youths and adults in need of residential and institutional care. The department also works for the care and treatment of frail, elderly and physically disabled individuals. It operates an employment and economic resource unit that administers the administers the Wisconsin Works, Food Share and Badger Care programs, and offers medical, child care and energy assistance. Eau Claire County Department of Human Services is located in Eau Claire, Wis.
