1 800 Boardup

This only received 1 star because I was not able to give it 0 Stars in order to review my experience with this company.



I had a client whose house burned down and the insurance company told me to call them so I did.



They were quick to respond and quick to board up the house.

Apparently not very well though.

The tenant who was living in the house at the time of the fire was able to un-board so they could go in.



They were nice enough to come back to re-board the property back at no charge - of course, if they had boarded up the place more securely than then the boards would not have been able to come off so easily!



The damaged home was being sold and a day before the closing the new owner did a walk through and the boards once again had been removed and the house vandalized. My client had to take a $6000 loss on the sale because the home was not secured well enough to stop someone from breaking in.



I called the company to speak to someone about a refund and the nice lady who answered the phone said that she was't able to handle things like that, but would have the franchise owner call me. Mike called me later in the day and I explained the situation.



He spouted off how he did such a great job and how he gives seminars on how to board up homes, etc...... all in my mind I am thinking to myself that how can this be a good job if people can break in?



Clearly he wasn't going to give my client a refund so I told him that I can't recommend anyone for her services and I won't be writing a good review about my experience.



HE THREATENED TO SUE ME FOR USING MY 1st AMENDMENT RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH FOR MY EXPERIENCE WITH HIS COMPANY.....



Can you believe that......... so my bad experience with this company just got worse because the franchise owner doesn't want me to write about my experience with the company........



Well, sorry about your luck buddy, that just pushed me to write about my experience everywhere!!!!!
