I enjoy treating challenging illnesses and welcome those seeking second opinions. I am comfortable managing psychiatric medications that many primary care doctors are reluctant to manage because of inexperience and doubt. New patient appointments are generally available within one to two weeks. Confidentiality and privacy are paramount, with flexible evening, morning and weekend hours available.
Emergency Care
People normally describe panic attacks as the worst experience in their lives. They often call 911 or go to the emergency room because they feel like they are dying or "having a heart attack". They start to become anxious about panic and can develop agoraphobia as they fear leaving their home. Their world becomes smaller and smaller. Without treatment for panic disorder the symptoms can be paralyzing. Dr Brandemihl's caring approach has helped many Central, Columbus, Ohio clients overcome panic and the fear of panic.

Neurology
A graduate of The Ohio State University's College of Medicine, Dr. Brandemihl also completed his psychiatric residency training program at OSU. He remains active with Ohio State, as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, teaching first year medical students as well as resident physicians and also has served on the medical school's admission committee. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Medication Management appointments are approximately fifteen minute appointments designed for you and Dr. Brandemihl to evaluate how you are responding to your current medication(s). After reviewing the symptoms that have occurred since your last appointment, you and Dr. Brandemihl will decide if it is best to add, stop, or adjust a medication to help you achieve your own mental health goals. The length of time between medication management appointments can vary from one week to six months depending on the stability of your illness and the particular medication(s) you are taking.
