This restaurant is a great place to go on a date and/or have a good time!! The environment and staff are very welcoming and it is very easy to feel comfortable here!! This place has a lot of history, of course it should, being its a 200 year old building in the heart of a small town like Dover!! Actually a very interesting history... Ask about it the next time you stop in for a bite or a beer!! Speaking of which, the food is excellent .. If you want a true straight from the heart, wow, the cook put his foot in this food kind of meal.. Smithers is the place.. And the specials are awesome!! I mean if your a football fan.. where else can you get GREAT wings cooked perfectly with a variety of sauce choices for 35 cents a piece??!! (on Sundays & Thursdays of course) my favorite day to go is Saturday though.. All day brunch specials and then steak night (delicious!!) for dinner .. There's also Wednesdays & fridays which is pasta & wine night.. (Good date night!) & lunch specials run everyday & are always different. The servers are quick & friendly , if you work in the area, Smithers is a great place to go for lunch. The night life here is also fantastic.. There's a great bar area & different music every night .. Some nights it's a DJ others it's a band or karaoke & they have an upstairs bar area too! If your not already on your way there.. Well what are you doing?? Get in your car and go! I should also mention the prices are fantastic, very reasonable. I promise if your a "foodie" like me, once you truly get the full experience of W.T. Smithers, full experience meaning food, environment & friendships, you won't want to go anywhere else.. You will love it the way myself & my friends love it!! See ya there
