Tarsal tunnel syndrome is a condition characterized by the compression or squeezing of the posterior tibial nerve. This nerve, along with three tendons, two veins, and one artery, occupies a tight space called the tarsal tunnel, which is located on the inside of the ankle. Swelling and inflammation of the tendons within this space can put pressure on the posterior tibial nerve, compressing it and causing a range of uncomfortable symptoms, such as pain and tingling. Tarsal tunnel syndrome is closely related to carpal tunnel syndrome, which occurs in the hands and wrist.

Other factors that put a person at risk for developing gout include: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, surgery, chemotherapy, stress, and certain medications and vitamins. While gout is more common in men aged 40 to 60 years, it can occur in younger men and also occurs in post-menopausal women.

Hammertoes
A hammertoe is a contracture-or bending-of the toe at the first joint of the digit, called the proximal interphalangeal joint. Plantar Fasciitis
The plantar fascia is a band of connective tissue on the plantar surface of the heel that plays a large role in maintaining the normal architecture of one’s foot. Plantar fasciitis is a common clinical condition caused by overuse or injury of the plantar fascia and is defined as traction degeneration of the plantar fascial band at its origin on the medial tubercle of the calcaneus. Inflammation, fibrosis, and decreased vascularization of the fascia occur, causing symptoms of heel pain. Other symptoms that may occur include burning in the sole of the foot, recurring foot pain that is especially aching in the morning or after sitting, or heel pain after beginning a new exercise routine.
