Destrehan Donuts

The customer service is horrible and I was disrespected in front of clientele and most importantly my daughter. I walked in to Destrehan Donuts with my daughter to get a dozen donuts for the kids. Everything went fine until I paid. The total was $11.43. I put $13.00 on the counter and the rude lady turned around and started to do other things. I walked out with donuts in hand as I am getting into my car the lady behind the counter runs out yelling at me that I shorted her .43 cents. Thinking I made a honest mistake I went in and put 2 more dollars on the counter. Not once did she look at or acknowledge me. The whole situations could have been handled in a more professional way. I will never return to this establishment.

I can see why the two previous reviewers were frustrated with the service. When I went in, there were two women working behind the counter who were rather sassy, and I can see that coming across as rude, but I don't think they meant to be rude. Also, the donuts that I bought to bring into work were wonderful. I can't speak for the grill food, but the donuts were good!

I will never return again. 30 minutes for a burnt biscuit and day old tasting donuts. When people come in sit down and order eat and leave and your still waiting on your biscuit it's a tad ridiculous. Don't waste your time or money here!

I would not advise anyone to eat their anymore, if you already have. I visited their one Saturday morning to pick up breakfast for my kids and got home my son eggs where not with his order, so I didn't call them I said I will just let her know next time I visit. So went back today for breakfast, because I didn't want to go to McDonald's, was ordering my food, then she asked how I wanted my eggs I said scrambled, I mentioned I didn't get the eggs with the last order. She said who cooked your food I said you did, she said oh no if I did I put eggs on there I said no with a smile. They were not on there, she said no I know if I did it, they were on there. So I said ok thank you and left!!!! I will never eat their again, I didn't like her attitude, because I wasn't asking for anything free I was just letting her know! She didn't appologize she just knew she didn't do it, amazing... New business and already starting off on the wrong foot.
